USK223deviceismainlydedicatedtoaccesscontrolsystemswhereloadcurrentdoesnotexceed 10Ampere.Stateofdevice(ON/OFF)ischangedbytouchingthedevicewithapreviously programmedDS1990DallasiButtonkey.ByeliminatingkeyboardsandRFtransmissionahigh degreeofconfidentialitywasobtained. Thedevicecanworkwithmaximum223keys.Thekeyisametaltabletwithdiameterof17mm and3or5mmhigh(dependingonthekeytype:F3orF5).Thetabletcontainsaspecialized IntegratedCircuit.Eachkeyhasitsownuniquecodeassigned.Thenumberofpossible combinationsis10tothepower14. Thedeviceisenclosedinaplasticcaseandcouldbeplaceddozensofmetersfromthekeyreader. ItsreaderisequippedwithaLEDindicator,whichshowsthestateofthedevice. Theprogrammeddataofkeysandtheconfigurationmodeofthedevicearestoredinthe EEPROM,sonochanges,orevenacompletelackofpowersupplyaffectthestoreddata.
Workingprinciple
TheUSK223hastwobasicworkingstates:ONandOFF.Themaindeviceoutputisviaarelay: pinsNO,NCandCOM.IntheONstate,therelayconnectsCOMandNOpins.IntheOFFstate, pinsCOMandNCareconnected.ThestateONisindicatedwiththegreenLEDinthereader, OFFwiththeredone. TherealsoexistsanadditionalAUX(Auxiliary)output.ThisoutputisdrivenbyNPNtransistor withanopencollector.Emitterofthetransistorisconnectedtothegroundofthepowersupply. Dependingontheconfigurationofthedevice,statesON/OFFcanbeobtainedontheAUXoutput, whichcouldalsocooperatewithprealarm. TheARMpinisaninputtothedevice.ItcouldbeusedtoconnectUSK223tootherdevices.In addition,whentheARMpinisconnectedwiththegroundofpowersupply,theLEDindicator pulsates(insteadofnormallighting)duringstateindication.
ConfigurationoftheDevice
Configurationofthedeviceisperformedintwophases,usingfiveswitches:SW1,SW2,SW3,SW4 andSET. Inthefirstphaseofconfiguration,onecansetthreeworkingparameters(table1). PARAMETERS: SW4:(ONMASTERmode;OFFNORMALmode) Description: MASTERmodeinthismode,thefirsttwoprogrammedkeysareprivileged.Onlywiththesetwo

NowreleasetheSETswitch. THEOPERATIONDELETESALLPROGRAMMEDKEYS!!! Insecondphase,thetimeparametercanbechosen.Timeparametermeanshowlongthedevice remainsactive(ONstate)aftertouchingaprogrammediButtonkeyTable2.Accordingtothe table,onecansetswitchesSW14(powersupplyisONallthetime)andthenjustpress'SET'to confirmtimeparameterconfiguration. Thefirststate(allswitchesOFF)meansthatthedeviceturnsfromONtoOFFstateonlywhenthe secondkeytouchoccurs. Thetimeparametercanbechangedeverytimeduringworkofthedevicewithoutanylimitations.
ProgrammingKeys
