Project Introduction
In Multimedia application module we were assigned to design and create an interactive movie that contains a specific story line and a specific title. I have used Adobe Flash CS4 Professional as my developing tool to design and create this animated short film. We were supposed to develop a short film that is either informative or educational. I have created a story based on Careful listening helps a man to succeed in his life. I have given the title as Words of Wisdom. The story goes around a character called Martin Pep. He is a 23 years old poor British national who lived in outskirt of Greenwich The story takes place in his house and in some places in his village. The story goes on with Pep getting a once in life time opportunity due to meeting with a wise old man. The story unfolds a chain of events after this meeting which makes him a successful man. This story unfolds in a British lower class society. Backgrounds, music and fonts are used accordingly to that. The story runs in a sequence manner which one screen helps the other screen to take place. A narrator voice and all the characters voices are dubbed using human voices.

4. Concept Art and Character Design

From Concept art I have shown my imaginary design for the cartoon. In this cartoon the user will be able to see several backgrounds with huge variety. From each of these backgrounds I have tried to convey a unique message. The story starts with introduction screen where each character is introduced to the user. Here I have used a background of an inside of a house. Then the scene fades away and a background with a traditional British house appears. Like these for almost every scene I have used different backgrounds to make the cartoon more interesting and attractive. All the characters including the backgrounds are unique and designed by me. Martin Pep the main character in every scene in the cartoon till the end. Buttons such as play, pause, stop, mute, Fast-forward, Rewind are included in the cartoon to make it easy for the user to control the application. I have made the cartoon run at a frame rate of 15 frame rates for second.

Comic book designer font such as Comic Sans MS in the introduction and the buttons and also the halt screens such as the The End screen. Audio I have used stereo audio with MP3 codec. This story takes place in early 90s in outskirts of Greenwich which is located in England. The main character Martin pep who is 27 year old British person lives with his wife and wifes brother in a shaggy looking house. Been born poor they lived a very hard life. Tom, martins wifes brother who is a lazy person doesnt do any work. Because of that martin had to find money to him also. From family they had inherited a rickshaw which is very valuable to them. Martin decided to pull people here and there for money in this rickshaw to collect money. As usual he was taking a gentleman to his destination. Most of the time people who go in the rickshaw gets friendly with him and talks until they had reached their destination. But this gentleman was looking very serious and did not talk with him at all. So martin was curious why this person was not talking with him. After some dialogues he found out that this person is a professor and that he had to pay for him to talk. After paying the professor from the hire money he gets four valuable advices. First advice is Never take anything which is not yours how much valuable that object can be. Another advice is that never ignore what your neighbors say to you and ask from you. The third message is Keep faith in yourself and play at your strength. And the final advice is Never sell your self-honor to money. The professor leaves him without paying martin because he had spent the hire money on professors words. On his way back to his house he found himself near a lake. On the middle of the lake he saw a gold spatula. Also there was this boat that looked like it was calling him to go the island and take the spatula. But suddenly he remembered about the first advice that professor gave. He immediately walked away from the lake. After walking for hours with his rickshaw he stopped at a stream of water to get some rest. While he was there some of his neighbors came carrying a coffin. They ask him to dispose the body. First he thought of saying he cant do it then again he remembered the professors second advise. He takes the coffin from them and saw a body og a beggar. He was tired and he lost his money to the professor because of that he just goes through the beggars body. Then he finds a purse with loads of pounds. Overjoyed by this he disposes the body and return home quickly.

9. Creative and unique features in the movie

Creative and unique design This cartoon is one of my own ideas. The characters, back grounds, effects and structures all are designed by me a created by me especially for this cartoon. Some of the backgrounds are created by using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Backgrounds are changed often so the user will not lose interest in the cartoon. There are multiple layers in one screen for better effects. There are multiple buttons in the navigation screen as shown above which has a unique design of shining when clicked. All the buttons give the full control of the cartoon to the user. I have used fonts like Arial, Times new roman, etc. to make it look more British like. Thats because the story runs around a man who lives in England. I have used natural music effects as well as smooth sound effects which can be found in British song albums. The entire Cartoon is dubbed along with every character has its own unique voice. Also a unique narration voice is used in the cartoon in some parts of the cartoon. I have also given an interesting story title Words of wisdom to make the user curious and interested. Interactions with the cartoon In this cartoon there are places where users have to select Martins path. For example Martin can go and take the gold spatula in screen 7 when the user click on the gold spatula or he could just walk away when the user click on the arrow on the road.
