Compare and contrast Trekking and Mountaineering Trekking is an activity in which people take multi - day hiking trips through rural, often rugged territory. Many people who are trekkers engage in longer trips through entire regions of the world, using trekking as a way of getting from place to place .Trekking also comprises of other outdoor sport activities which include backpacking & rock climbing. The main reason that makes trekking different from other modes of travel is that trekking is less structured and planned.Trekking can be done anywhere in the world. Certain areas are particularly popular with trekkers, including mountainous regions such as the Himalayas in Asia and the Andes in South America Mountaineering is a sport that combines climbing and hiking up mountains. Done on regular terrain, rocky areas, and ice or snow slopes, mountaineering merges a series of techniques and requires a highly technical approach. Mountaineering is not an easy sport and it requires great technical and athletic ability. Experience is also very important in this sport. Trekking is less technical than mountaineering but it is equally enthralling. Trekking can be done on high elevation treks as well as on leisure plain land treks. No skill or knowledge is required for trekking. Anyone who is adventurous and is blessed with good health can look forward to trekking. On the other hand, mountaineering is quite a challenging sport to the mind and spirit of a person. Mountaineering can let a person kiss the sunlight touching the peak, feel the nature brush and walk the routes dreaded only by a few. Compare and contrast gold and silver Gold is a valuable, yellow- coloured metal that is used for making jewellery and ornaments, and as an international currency. Gold is a metallic chemical element with the atomic number 79 and the symbol Au. While the name gold comes from an Old English word meaning yellow. Gold was used as early as 6000 B.C. Gold is found in both lode deposits and placer deposits, and is naturally uncombined. Silver is a metallic chemical element with the atomic number 47 and chemical symbol Ag. The word 'silver' means "shining". It is a soft, white, lustrous transition metal. In nature, silver is sometimes found occurring as a free metal, and it may also appear in deposits with other metals like copper and gold. Silver and various salts of this metal are used in many industrial processes. Silver itself is not toxic, but its salts are, and they should be handled with care. Silver has also historically been used in currency, because the metal is intrinsically valuable. Silver is a lustrous metal with high thermal and electric conductivity. Silver and gold are the most famous metals. They are the masters of every lady's jewellery. There are many shared features between silver and gold that make them similar in many ways. First, both of them are of the same type of metal. Silver is a precious metal, and gold is too. Second, silver and gold were discovered in the same period of history. That was in pre-historical time. Then, another similarity between gold and silver is their atomic radius. Silver has the same atomic radius as gold. Both metals have a good ability to conduct electricity and thermal. We compared some of their features such as discovery, atomic radius, specific gravity, melting and boiling points are different Compare and contrast ground transport system and skybus transport system The advancement in the technology of transport systems has made our travels easier, and quicker. The cars, the buses, the trains and the planes take us to our destination quickly with comforts. Today there is a wide variety of modes of transport by land, water and air. Transportation in India has

recorded a substantial growth over the years both in spread of network and in output of the system. The transport system in India is large and extensive. Millions of people of India use the large network of railways and roadways in India. Even the local transportation in India is very developed. Road transport is vital to economic development, trade and social integration. India has one of the largest road networks in the world, aggregating to about 33 lakh kilometers at present. The country's road network consists of National High-ways, State Highways, major/other district roads and villages/rural roads. Easy accessibility, flexibility of operations, door-to-door service and reliability have earned road transport an increasingly higher share of both passenger and freight traffic vis--vis other transport modes. People often face traffic congestion and accidents. Rail transport is a convenient mode of transport for traveling long distances. It is suitable for carrying heavy goods in large quantities It occupies an important place in land transport system of our country. Skybus Metro is a modern suspended railway invented by Indian technologist Mr B Rajaram. It will be eco-friendly, noise-free and economical operation. Skybuses will reduce the connecting time as they will be faster and more frequent. The construction cost will be less compared to an underground or above ground transit system. The pillars can be constructed on the road dividers which can solve space problem also. There will be no likelihood of accidents due to derailment or fire. Skybus will help ease traffic snarls and peak hour pollution in India. They can carry more people and use less steel. The introduction of skybus will be a viable solution. Like the Calcutta Metro, which has helped to ease traffic congestion in the busy, crowded Kolkata.
