SWAT analysis
SWOT analysis is a structure method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business enterprise. A SWOT analysis can be carried out for a product, place, industry or person. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving that objective. Strengths: characteristics of the business or project that give it an advantage over others Weaknesses: are characteristics that place the team at a disadvantage relative to others Opportunities: elements that the project could exploit to its advantage Threats: elements in the environment that could cause trouble for the business or project

Strengths:

In Hazara University we have allot of space to develop new departments or to extend current departments.

Beautiful location

Hazara University have a beautiful location, it is cited in a beautiful hilly surrounded area that attract many students of Punjab, Islamabad, and more hot weather areas.

No political parties are allowed

In Hazara University there are no political unions that can divide students in harmful groups. In many Universities where political unions are strong they are creating so many problems for management.

iv.

Highly qualified staff

The minimum education for a teacher is MS, and in every department Hazara University have 2 or 3 PhDs. They have a good teaching style to convey knowledge and they are also built confidence in students and prepare them to work in an organization.

v.

Large number of departments

In minimum time Hazara University have made a large number of departments. It means they covered large area of study or various fields of education that attract the students which is very profitable for university and it also improve the various studies that are not well known by mostly peoples.

Weaknesses:
i. Minimum number of class rooms in departments
In many departments they have so many students in deferent courses and they all need separate rooms. To meet that need the university doesnt have so many rooms.

ii.

Un co-operative administration
The administration in university is never cooperate with students in any problem. Either its a managements problem or student. Every person in administration doesnt want to do that work for which he appointed

Time consuming management system

Any process or work takes too much time in management because they are not forced by anyone to do their job on time in short they have lack of management to have a site on their employs.

Lack of information in students about university

v.

Mostly students dont have information about university, therefore they have allot of problems to understand the system of university, they dont know their rights and duties as a student of that particular university.

Discipline

In Hazara University rules and regulations are not strictly followed.

Opportunities:
i. Development opportunities
Hazara University is on 8th position in KPK, and it still has the strength and allot of areas where it can utilize its resources to reach in top 5. It can develop its campuses or increase the class rooms or increase the number of departments to attract the students.

ii.

Without campus areas

Hazara University has many areas like Oghi, Batagram, and Abbottabad dont have any university/campus of any university, this is an opportunity for Hazara University to create its campuses in those areas and extend their university.

iii.

No other universities in near area

There is no other university in nearer areas of Hazara university, thats why mostly students from Hazara region prefer it as compare to any other universities that are sited in other cities.

Threats:
i. No organizational environment
Like other universities those are sited in urban areas, Hazara University dont have any organization in its surrounding thats way students dont have any practical examples that they observe to understand the practical application of there studies.

Backward area
Hazara University is located in a backward area or a side area of KPK, thats why people fever the other universities that are near to him on it.

Lack of facilities

In that area where Hazara University is sited, they dont have too much facilities. They dont have high markets; they dont have soi gas in that area and its only one way to reach the university.

iv.

High rate of load shading

There is a high rate of load shading in that area and Hazara University dont have generators in its hostels; due to that, students are disturbed and many of those thinking to migrate to other universities.

Less co-operative community

As compared to the urban areas in Hazara Universitys surroundings the peoples are less cooperative. Due to this mostly parents refuse to admit their child in Hazara University.
