Type of Work: Indy Product: Doc/Quick Reading Class Time: 3/4 Period EOC: Submit to Schoology (Lesson 1) Due: Next Period
Concept: To reduce sexual risk behaviors and related health problems among youth, schools and other youthserving organizations can help young people adopt lifelong attitudes and behaviors that support their health and well-beingincluding behaviors that reduce their risk for HIV, other STDs, and unintended pregnancy. How best to do this is of much public concern and debate because sex education is filled with inherent controversy as it is values-based. Goal: Differentiate between Abstinence Only, Comprehensive and Abstinence Plus (Our Curriculum). Discuss the controversy in sex education and identify what is and isnt the program at HSHS to alleviate any concern as to what is taught and why. Directions: Do only one Level.
