Business Card Holder

This pattern is for a small business card holder, but it can also
be used for royalty cards, cameras, or phones. Adjust the
dimensions as necessary for larger or thicker items.

1. Cut Out: Print out, cut out, and tape together pattern at the end of this
file. Cut one pattern each from the primary and contrasting materials. Cut
interfacing if desired. Iron on interfacing to wrong side of primary fabric,
centering each one starting at the bottom (the 3.5” side facing the short
side of the fabric), leaving 1/2” at the bottom and 1/2” between the two in-
terfacing pieces.

2. Sew Arch and Long Sides: With right sides together, sew the long sides
and arch with a 1/2” seam. Notch the curve, turn inside out, and press.

3. Sew Buttonhole and Button: Sew a buttonhole on the dot marked on

the pattern. On the primary fabric side, sew the button on the dot marked
on the pattern.

4. Finish Seams and Top-stitch: Fold the raw edge of the short edge in-
side 1/2” and top-stitch closed. Flip the just-sewn edge up towards the top
so that when the top flap is closed, the button and buttonhole meet. Top-
stitch the two sides just folded up to close the sides.
