UNEMPLOYMENT AND UNDEREMPLOYMENT Educated unemployment or underemployment is due to a mismatch between the aspirations. Underemployment is of course better than unemployment, but many of the jobs new grads are taking dont pay well enough to satisfy their needs. Social support can also mitigate the negative impacts of unemployment and underemployment. For example, being married is a protective factor during periods of unemployment and underemployment. Widespread unemployment in neighborhoods reduces resources, which may result in inadequate and low-quality housing, underfunded schools, restricted access to services and public transportation, and limited opportunities for employment, making it more difficult for people to return to work. It has been observed that unemployed persons are less neighborhood belonging than their employed counterparts. High unemployment and growing income inequalities are key factors in declining social climate. However, increasing inequality in advanced economies is fundamentally linked to growing rates of physical, emotional, social and political disorder. Likewise, the stress of unemployment can lead to declines in individual and family well-being. The burden of unemployment can also affect outcomes for children. The stress and depressive symptoms associated with job loss can negatively affect parenting practices such as increasing punitive and arbitrary punishment. As a result, children become more distress and depressive symptoms. Depression in children and adolescents is linked to multiple negative outcomes, including academic problems, substance abuse, high-risk sexual behavior, physical health problems, impaired social relationships and increased risk of suicide.

UNWED MOTHERS AND ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN Quality child care means, consistent response to signals being available for communication, and alleviating stress. This practice then creates a base for mother-child attachment, enabling the child to have confidence in the presence of other caregivers. The mothers time with children both for quantity and quality, as well as parental monitoring of children for how well the mother knew about the childs life. These standards show that providing consistent quality child care requires availability and significant time commitment. Admittedly, single mothers face significant difficulty in providing quality child care for their children. A combination of parenting single handedly, financial tension, and strain of over load often lead to neglect of children. Additionally, the absence of a father aids in the difficulty of providing appropriate discipline. A fathers approach to child rearing differs from that of a mother and seems to promote achievement motivation. That may be why children raised apart from their fathers tend to exhibit lower academic performance than those raised with their fathers.

POVERTY Educational outcomes are one of the key areas influenced by family incomes. Children from low-income families often start school already behind their peers who come from more affluent families based in measures of school readiness. Family income appears to be more strongly related to children's ability and achievement than to their emotional outcomes. Children who live in extreme poverty or who live below the poverty line for multiple years appear, all other things being equal, to suffer the worst outcomes. The timing of poverty also seems to be important for certain child outcomes. Children who experience poverty during their preschool and early school years have lower rates of school completion than children and adolescents who experience poverty only in later years. More poverty means lower scores on all measures of school achievement. Children of poverty are more likely to suffer from "food insecurity," which means slower language development as well as behavioral problems . - High-poverty families are more likely to lack medical insurance or have high copayments, which means less medical care, and more childhood illness and absenteeism which of course negatively impacts school achievement. School is not helping: Poor schools are more likely to have no school nurse or have a high ratio of nurses to students. - Children of poverty have very little access to books at home and in their communities, with less access to good public libraries and bookstores. The rise in the number of children in poverty has contributed to making our nation's classrooms more diverse than ever before. This, indeed, makes both teaching and learning more challenging. This issue can remain a challenge for teachers, as opposed to becoming a problem, if focus is placed on student learning as opposed to teaching. Teachers need to be tuned in to the culture of poverty and be sensitive to the vast array of needs that children of poverty bring to the classroom. Social contexts have a significant impact on the development of children. The social world of school operates by different rules or norms than the social world these children live in. Focus should be placed on finding a harmonious relationship between the cultural values of students and values emphasized in school. HOMOSEXUALITY Students should learn about homosexuality at school. They should be learning about it at home. It is the parents' job to teach children about relationships and to introduce them to controversial issues. The parents should be having open and honest conversations with their children instead of leaving the task up to the schools. Students should learn about homosexuality in school. It is a perfectly natural topic to talk about when discussing sex ed or relationships. It could also come up in history class when talking about the civil rights movement for homosexuality. When asked, it seems that many gay men and lesbians remember their school days with very mixed feelings. Being gay at school meant that, in addition to the growing pains that all teens suffer, they suffered additionally at the hands of a homophobic education system, and of their classmates. Furthermore, not only do gay pupils often have an unpleasant school experience, but they are also often denied sexual health information that is relevant to them. An education system that fails gay pupils in terms of both their social and their educational experience is clearly unacceptable, and denying gay pupils appropriate HIV education could ultimately cost their lives. It is important to learn from the difficult experiences many gay men and lesbians had of being gay at school, in order to ensure that new generations have better experiences and are able to prevent them becoming infected with HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

It is unacceptable for young gay men and lesbians to experience levels of prejudice and discrimination that mar their developing years and their school experiences. They, just as much as anyone, should be able to look back warmly on their school days, without remembering bullying, name-calling, and exclusion. Often teachers are too embarrassed to discuss what gay people do in bed. However, no sexual health education class can be even remotely adequate without including this type of information, and the discomfort of teachers and parents has been, for too long, allowed to frustrate the needs of pupils both gay and straight. If regular teachers are too uncomfortable dealing with sexual issues, then an external specialist teacher should take some sessions. EARLY MARRIAGE Girls who have dropped out of school, or not been enrolled in the first place, are likely to be pushed into early marriage. Marriage usually prevents them from starting or resuming their education. Being forced to marry someone can often create unhappiness in both the male and female. If they are unhappy with each other than the relationship can turn in to an abusive relationship, causing things to become worse. Sometimes a girl cannot take the abuse any more from her husband so she ends up committing suicide or running away with her children. More often the girl will run away and find a distant relative to live with. When a girl runs away from her husband it brings shame upon the family and the family cuts the girl off from their lives. This leaves the girl alone even more than before. Early marriage might create domestic violence because both male and female at this stage are very aggressive to do things that night result to violent action. Unfortunately, early marriage makes person to be more independent to their parents because at this stage they dont have the capacity to earn for their own, since they are not fully armed with education as the source of their living. Once a girl or a boy lived together even with or without the sanctity of the church they are considered lock-up and trapped with the responsibility of being married persons. However this could result to a loss of confidence to each other, since they are still at the young stage of their life which needs adjustment and understanding. The worst thing here is that early marriage might result to quick divorce/separation that might give negative effect to their siblings. CYBER CRIME While the Internet can be a unique educational and recreational resource for students, it is important that they are educated about how to safely and responsibly use this powerful tool. Several issues have received particular attention with respect to protecting the young online. Educators should be aware of cyber stalking and the threats that online predators pose to their students' physical safety; harmful or inappropriate content (most often characterized as pornographic, excessively violent or simply 'adult'); privacy invasions that result from the collection of personally identifiable information; and commercialism and aggressive marketing targeted directly at the young. Another issue related to the presence of the young on the Internet is the potential misuse of this tool. Whether the consequences are intentional or unintentional, the Internet can open a dangerous window of accessibility for the young who are unaware of the consequences of irresponsible use. For this reason, it is essential that educators consider how to educate their students about the consequences associated with misusing the Internet.

POPULATION PROBLEMS Since the population and development policy of the Philippine government has not been consistent, the merits and drawbacks of curbing population growth are best understood in the context of the very tangible reality of basic education development. High population growth rate means rapid growth of the school-age population that spreads out even more thinly the already very scarce resources for basic education development. Found out that children, especially from poor families, are forced to stay out of school not only because they cannot afford the costs but also because given the poor quality of education, it becomes more rational for them to work rather than to stay in school. Unfortunately, both cost and quality factors are inherently tied to poverty because poor families have to sacrifice sending their children to school especially during periods of crisis. This condition limits the means by which poor families send their children to schools that provide quality education. The following reasons are summarized for nonattendance in school of school-age children as follows: (a) Cannot cope with school work; (b) High cost of education; (c) Illness and/or disability; (d) Lack of personal interest; (e) Schools are far or there is no school within the barangay; (f) Finished schooling; (g) Housekeeping chores; (h) No regular transportation from house to school; and others. A relationship between nonattendance in school and household income was also established, to wit: the percentage of children who are not attending school decreases as income (of the household to which the children belong) increases. MALNUTRITION It is true that too many children die from malnutrition each year in this country. Some of their parents also die from starvation and hunger. But the children are more vulnerable one of the reasons is the widespread irregularity in the state and central government services I think the only way to solve malnutrition create job opportunities, providing free food for children. It may help; free food for children is the way to solve malnutrition. Government should give free food for childrens. By awareness we can reduce it. As we know each and every solution would be passed through the education and awareness. So malnutrition is occurred due to unawareness and illiteracy. My view to the solution for Malnutrition in the Philippines is the enough funds of the government officials to sustain and feed the poor children of their community. The other one is the proper education of their parents.
