hat combination can only be good!! Katie flew to Texas for Resurrection weekend to participate in childrens ministry and have some girl time with dear friend, Keri Stewart, local coordinator for the Wichita Falls CEF Chapter and the childrens minister of her church. The ladies paired up preparing a special weekend for the children of Trinity United Methodist Church and CEF After School Club at a local elementary school. The Gospel of Christ was shared, kids learned about Christ by making Resurrection cookies powerful message, fun to make and equally delicious! Thank you, Keri, for the invitation to come and be a part of what God is doing in east Texas.

o, we planned for 1 thingKaties cousins new arrival. Katie and the younger boys went to her home state of Virginia to minister to her cousins family during the time just before and after the arrival of their third child. 1 thing we didnt plan for was the change in the heart of our oldest son and his desire to move home. God is so far ahead of our plans. He truly has the best for us and His timing is always perfect. Before even getting home, Micah had a job and hope for the future. Make plans, be good stewards of the resources God gives, but always allow Him sovereignty to move as He wills in your life. We are now a household of six again. As Katies cousin and her husband are adjusting to being parents of three children, the Michelli house is adjusting to life with four guys in the house again! We know God has a plan and we continue to trust in that!! Jeremiah 29:11-13

LIGHT, LIGHT, LIGHT

ive Oak Baptist church had revival services May 5th-8th. Pastor, Howard Turner, believes as few do todaythat children can be saved by the same Gospel as adults and teens if given the opportunity to hear it in a way they can understand. Burdened for the children, Bro. Howard invited Christ to the Family Ministries to join the revival team. Jarrod Hegwood preached each night and John Marc Burge led worship. It was truly a great week to be in the house of the Lord. Jesus is the Light was the theme for the childrens revival. The children learned about Gods light from both Old Testament and New Testament. Each night we saw children excited to hear the Word of God. What a thrill to help these children open their Bibles and read Gods Word for themselves. Each night, right before the preaching CJ would lead us in singing Psalm 119:105 The last nightby only the light of 2 small lanternswe played a game with the children to review all the weeks messages. A sixyear-old boy was asked in the game to recite the verse we sang before teaching time. In the stillness we wondered if it were too hard a question for him. After a short silence he softly began to sing perfectly, Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. God gives us Light in His Word. That Word became flesh and dwelt among usshining His Light in human form for all of humanity to see. That Light went to the cross and seemed to be snuffed in deatheven the sun darkened. But we know that Jesus is alive and that His Light continues to shinein His childrenold and young. Covered in His righteousness we can reflect Jesus Light to a dark world, and so much more the closer we draw near to that Light and to other believers.
