PACKING, MARKING AND SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS - DOMESTIC

1.0

GENERAL 1.1 No shipment will be made until shipping instructions are received from Buyer's Procurement Department. 1.2 All shipments must be properly packaged to withstand long distance transport, both via ocean and land carriers, plus numerous handlings while enroute to the final destination. 1.3 Seller will be held responsible for any fines or demurrage imposed due to Seller's failure to follow these instructions. 1.4 Material will not be packed or billed until Seller has been given an inspection release or a waiver as provided in the Purchase Order. 1.5 Buyer, or a designated project freight forwarder, will advise routing and carrier at the time of release. 1.6 Seller shall include a copy of these instructions as part of purchase orders directed to sub-suppliers making shipments direct to Buyer's consignment destination. 1.7 Seller shall segregate and pack for shipment all spare parts separately from other equipment ordered and mark outer container "Spare Parts". Each item must be marked or tagged with the exact same nomenclature as provided in the Purchase Order. 1.8 Seller shall segregate and pack for shipment all special tools separately from other equipment ordered and mark outer container "Special Tools". Each item must be marked or tagged with the exact same nomenclature as provided in the Purchase Order. 1.9 Sensitive equipment such as instrumentation, electrical motors, switchgear and motor control centers, must be thoroughly prepared to withstand transit through a very difficult transport network. Additional preparation, packing and crating must be provided as necessary to ensure that this sensitive equipment reaches the Project site without damage due to rough handling, repeated transshipments, and adverse weather conditions.

2.0 MARKING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 GENERAL 2.1.1 Number package(s) consecutively. Do not duplicate package numbers. 2.1.2 In every case, where applicable, four sides of the Package must show: "FRAGILE" - "HANDLE WITH CARE" - "GLASS" "DELICATE INSTRUMENTS" - "THIS END UP" 2.1.3 Lift Points 2.1.4 Center of Gravity 2.2 METAL TAGS Where packages do not lend themselves to marking instructions as given above, metal tags will be attached to the package giving all the required information. 3.0 PACKING LIST INSTRUCTIONS The following information for each package of a shipment must be indicated on the packing list: 3.1 Shipping Marks and Numbers as given under Marking Instructions (Paragraphs 2.1, and 2.2)

3.2 Type of package. (Box, crate, bundle, etc.)

3.3 A full description, including quantity and exact contents of each package, including equipment numbers. 3.4 Items must appear in the same order as they appear on the Purchase Order and Invoices. 3.5 Show alongside items of a hazardous nature, the type of label which has been affixed to so identify it. All hazardous material must be marked in accordance with all applicable national and international rules and regulations covering the hazardous material being shipped. 3.6 Enclose one (1) copy of the Packing List inside the package and fasten one (1) additional copy of the Packing List in a waterproof envelope on the outside of each case. Where packages do not lend themselves to the foregoing, fasten metal tags to the material itself, identifying the material by Purchase Order, bill of material, item, and tag numbers. 3.7 Values are not to be shown on any documents except the invoice. 4.0 CONSIGNMENT AND SHIPPING 4.1 No shipments will be made until Seller has received all shipping instructions referred to above, regardless of whether partial or complete inspection has been made or whether an inspection waiver has been given (See Paragraph 1.4).
