Poverty is the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions, states Encyclopedia Britannica. Poverty is spread all over the world and we have lived it, trying to improve our everyday life. This can be associated in many different ways that can lead into poor health, poor education, and inability to work. Homelessness is a global problem that has been driven by poverty and the numbers keep increasing. Poverty has affected many being children, adults and elders for the lack of jobs, education and help the world doesnt offer. It has grown to be a nationwide problem that has expanded in its inequality to those that are poor.

Poverty has been around since money began to exist. It has been around for many years and yet people still keep suffering. People who lack money arent able to independently care for themselves or anyone else. They can lack skills because they had poor education and werent able to obtain great skills. Education is very important for everyone when it comes to obtaining skills and holding on to a good job to earn their income. That is the main reason that countries dont help out the poor in getting a good education, so that they are able to help their families in need. Without a job, you arent able to earn any money and bring bread to the table for your

household. You dont get any skills if you have no education and it will be hard to seek for employment.

When people lose their jobs, they arent able to sustain themselves. Lack of education and lack of jobs get people to end up being homeless. The statics show that poverty in 1973 was low as 11.1 percent and in 1983; it had risen as 15.2 percent. In the year 2000, poverty had decreased back down to 11.3 percent telling us that poverty should be our main concerns. There are still about 15 million people who are living in poverty and we think that these percentages are good enough. The US have done much to help lower class with social security, food stamps, and enacted programs to help keep a few out of poverty, but it still isnt enough.

According to New York Times, there are reasons why we havent achieved more to reduce poverty. Some people still work at low wage jobs and arent able to be on top of bills such as housing, food, clothing and much more. Many households are headed by single parents who have difficulty in working more than 1 job just so that they can maintain their household. In the year 2012, I have noticed that Obama had promised many more jobs because of how the economy was downgrading. Our economy has increased by creating more jobs for people who are in need.

People have viewed lower class as something they dont want to be. Yes, no one wants to fall behind with the stress of having no employment to live but helping those who have no solution would give them a huge help. There is inequality amongst rich and middle class when they look upon the poor people. They categorize them as if we arent all equal. There are a few

people who have tons of money and dont help contribute for others to be in a better place. One idea that can help our poor society is people with money can help donate to those in need so they can get back to their feet and live a better life. We have all read about the Great Depression and the hard times that many have confronted. We have suffered a bad economy, while a few have committed suicide just because they have no way out to their problem. Lower income people should fight for their rights so people can hear them. Actions speak better than words and working together can help others hear. If we all helped one another, the world would all be equal, we all be in middle class and in peace, it sounds like a better place.

If we take a walk in the streets, we will see a few homeless people that others call a bum. Sometimes I ask myself, how did they get themselves in that position? And how come they cant go to any random interview to get a job and start their lives over again. Our thoughts can make sense to us but most of them are lucky to get a job and others arent accepted and are discriminated as a bum. We are all equal and we can all fall in poverty. Money is a piece a paper that many use as an important tool. Its a paper that many work long hard hours just to achieve and this paper pays for everything you purchase for.

Food, water, shelter and clothing are four main things that one can survive every day. In my case, I live with my parents and my father is the one who earns more in the household. Without them, I would be poor because I dont have a great job and seeking for a job is difficult when you dont have much experience. I dont consider my household to be rich but I do my share in helping the ones in need. As a child, my mother would always get hammy down

clothing from other people. We never could afford brand new clothing and that concept has helped us stay warm and dressed.

When my father came to this country, he started as nothing to become something today. He had to work his way up so he could maintain a good life for himself and future family. Some families get lucky to be something than those that have no opportunity to succeed. Education is a major importance to the world because that is where people can learn and gain skills in the industry of work. Some schools lack great education for children and teens and that is a risk for these students to want to pursue a higher education.

Some students sometimes consider themselves to do any easy profession than do what they have always dreamed to be. They lower themselves in the position that they arent able to achieve that goal because they have no ability to get it. Rich students usually study to become doctors and high professions because they have the money to advance. Poor students get poor educations and arent encouraged to become as successful that they want to become.

Better education and better jobs are ideas that can help our world prosper and reduce poverty for those that are affected. Poverty has been in control for many years and working together can help stop it. About 37 million people live in poverty and many die with no help. We get little help, but not enough because many are suffering through poverty and the rates keep going up. There are ways that can help the nation prosper to be the best economy. If we helped one another, maybe war wouldnt exist and unity of doing favors in making the nation a peaceful place. Ronald Reagan famously said, We fought a war of poverty and poverty won.

Poverty has overcome families by destroying them and it hasnt helped many. Many people are dying because of this and many lack money and nourishment. If they become malnourished, then they become weak and sick and it makes it difficult for them to work. Most countries they have programs that help adults and children from starving themselves and they eat while they either attend work or school, they get paid by food than by money.

Poverty includes death, hunger, sickness, disease, malnourishment, pain that can destroy many. There are ways that can help poor people survive a hard life if the world unites together to help those that really need it. Families in our countries need our help but because we live a better life doesnt mean we cant help them. Friends as well need our help because when we need their help, they will return the favor. If we think about it maybe our neighbors are having a hard time because they are close to enter the poverty stage and a help from you will help them stay on top of everything. If the world unites, there are ways that can help stop poverty and a better place.
