FOOTBALL OF INDONESIA

Football is a type of sport played between two teams of eleven players. The objective of this sport is to score the ball to opponent goal. Football is the world most popular sport. 1 It happens too in Indonesia, many Indonesians are loved to play football. Football also is a sport that can unite people around Indonesia, besides badminton, but what happened to the football of Indonesia? As an Olahraga Rakyat, Indonesias football performance in the world are bad, even in Asia region, Indonesia cannot do something meaningful in football. Bad management of PSSI, the highest football governing body in Indonesia is just one point that causing this issue, moreover lack youth player development, and lack of supporting facilities are the another point causing this issue. In other hand, the government is showing their good intension to improve the Indonesias football quality. Bad management of the PSSI is the one that makes people do not trust that institution to take care of the football of Indonesia. The head of PSSI, Nurdin halid is a corruptor and willful leader. Moreover highest football league level in Indonesia, Liga Super Indonesia is a league which I think does not generate high quality player. So there is new formed league nam ed Liga Primer Indonesia that want to compete the league formed by PSSI.2 In another hand, lack youth player development also contributes more problems in the football of Indonesia. The player development here in Indonesia is not youth oriented, but keep developing existing player who getting older time by time.3 Another problem is lack of supporting facilities, for example Indonesia has only decent stadium or football field that suitable to be used, especially for International class football match. Many youngsters in remote areas cannot feel the best football quality. So with lack of adequate facilities, it will not generate good football player in the future. The government is showing their good intension to improve the football quality of Indonesia, but there is something needs to be fixed to gain the best performance in football. For sure no matter you develop there is some positive point and minus point. But I think Indonesia will have a bright football future if we have good management, the development of player must youth oriented and supported by adequate facilities.
