Originated in 1964

PTP History
1964-1970: Work-study program On-campus training factory Four-hour study, 4-hour/day, 22 weeks/year for one year 1971-1975: Staggered-PTP Formosa Plastics Groups 2.4 months/year, 22 weeks/year 1976-1999: Semester-PTP Formosa Plastics Groups 1976~1977 -- one-semester study, one-semester work 1978~1999 -- 4 weeks/sem, first to fourth year; 8 weeks for 5th year
