The Corporate Communications team utilizes both internal and external communication to conduct effective communication. Internal communication tools Internal communication could be exercised through a variety of vehicles, ranging from top-down to bottom up, from formal to informal. The common tools are corporate magazines, newsletters, the intranet/internet, notice boards, formal letters and staff meetings. Newsletters are used to inform all staff of the key events and major changes happening regularly. It should be sent to all staff/all departments, both printed copy and electronic copy. It is a two-way vehicle. Feedback from staff should ebe ncouraged in an effort to enhance engagement. Intranet/internet is very effective internal communication tools. Announcements, performance data, company related information, policy and process documents, share status should be accessible through intranet. Email is a top-down communication tool. It is used to announce critical management decision or corporate information. Global emails are sent to all staff via the communications team. Videos have massive impacts on audiences. It is used to communicate important messages to all staff. Videos have similar effectiveness with face-to face communication, and its messages are more persuasive and influential. Staff events can help communicate cultural change programs or achievements or priorities. They bring staff together that may not have much contact normally and raising the visibility of senior managers. external communication tools

The communication team takes the responsibility of developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders through regular and consistent communication which is essential and critical in managing the reputation of the organization. Communications team select very industrially relevant magazines to place advertisement. It is a very effective way to increase brand awareness and comprehension. Press Release and Annual Report are the top two major tools used by Communication team to share information with external stakeholders. Press release benefits corporate from enhanced brand awareness and brand comprehension. Annual Report is a formal communication vehicle to share annual operational performance and financial results to internal and external stakeholder. Sponsorship is usually utilized to increase brand exposure to target audiences. By becoming part of a special and more personally relevant moment in target consumers' lives, involvement with events can broaden and deepen the relationship of a company with the target market. A range of meetings with key stakeholders, journalists and reporters etc. External meetings will help share information on a single source to maintain or enhance company reputation.
