Thank you for you interest in working for Computer Lab Management (CLM). Computer Lab Management is responsible for the 18 general access academic computing facilities. For more information on the campus computer labs, please refer to: http://clm.ucdavis.edu/rooms/ We always accept applications. If we are not currently hiring, we will hold your application until the next hiring phase Due to the number of applications we receive, it is not always possible to contact each applicant for an interview. If your application passes our prescreening process you may be contacted for an interview. CLM is looking for responsible, motivated individuals with good communication skills, a customer service background, a willingness to learn and some computer experience. The Computer Room Consultant (CRC) Trainee job description should be attached to this application package or can be found at: http://clm.ucdavis.edu/jobs/descriptions/ CRCs must maintain UC Davis student status (enrolled, PELP, etc.) while working for CLM. CRCs are required to work a minium of 12 hours per week and a maxium of 19.5 hours per week. CLM will never schedule you over any classes or other academic commitments. CRCs are not permitted to do homework on the job. Expected work hours are between: Mon-Thu Fri Sat Sun 7:30am - Midnight 7:30am - 6pm Noon - 5pm Noon - Midnight
Actual work hours vary from quarter to quarter as determined by your Lab Group. Not all Lab Groups are open on weekends or until midnight. For further Lab Schedule information, please refer to: http://clm.ucdavis.edu/rooms/ - Computer Lab Management
Requirements:
Must follow all Computer Room Consultant Expectations Must have good customer service skills and experience Must have excellent communication skills Must have basic knowledge of software installed in IET-ATS computer classrooms Must follow and enforce CLM policies and procedures May be required to work when not in academic related commitments (i.e., class, labs, discussions) Must maintain UC Davis student status (enrolled, PELP, etc.) Must work between 12.00 and 19.5 hours a week Cannot work more than 19.5 hours a week for all University jobs combined Must attend yearly Boot Camp Training

Coded in Java and produced demos for use in the office. They consisted of geographical imaging and videos. My main project was to create my own program that would act as a GPS for their cameras. Also did other various tasks.. maintenance, coffee runs, etc...

I've owned this computer for around three years, I use Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, Spotify, itunes, Mixcraft, Ableton, FLstudio, Audacity, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Filezilla (FTP), and many more. Typically media heavy.

I used to design logos for my friend's airsofting company for fun. I have also made my own website using Dreamweaver. I made my own logo, shirts, and merchandise along with it.

I created a basic website where I made occasional videos, music, and merchandise.

I've worked the telephone for my father's business, I am a guide at ChaCha.com, and I have had experience working with kids and adults as a volunteer at a youth program called Toberman Neighborhood Center.
Have you ever taught classes, workshops, summer-camp programs? Have you ever tutored anyone?
Yes, at Toberman Neighborhood center, I taught children in kindergarden and first grade math and english. I also worked the gym there were I taught them how to play sports like ping pong, soccer, baseball, and basketball.
My perception of this position is a enriching experience where one would efficiently help those in need of assistance to my best effort, quickly, effectively, and respectfully.
I am well educated in the media aspects of this position and I have experience programming. I'm a people person and I'm patient and a problem solver. I believe that I am able to fulfill this position well.
