Job Responsibilities: 1. Understanding requirements, goals and effort estimation for CFD projects 2. Project planning and execution. Total Experience: 2 years Relevant Experience: 2 years CFD Projects Handled 1. Meshing of Air Refresh Hanger: The objective of this project is to mesh the refresh hanger geometry and to do case setup in fluent software. 2. CFD Acoustic Analysis of Vacuum Cleaner Geometries: Prediction and comparison of Noise level amongst various optional assemblies of the vacuum cleaner using CFD analysis. This CFD acoustic analysis was done to find out the assembly for least loudness. Here, Quadrupole BNS model was used to predict the Acoustic Power and subsequently noise level comparison was done. After experimentation, the experimental ranking for loudness found to be exactly same as that from CFD results. 3. CFD analysis of Air Conditioner Evaporator and Condenser: The main objective of this project was to carry out baseline CFD analysis of air conditioner and to make suggestions to reduce the pressure drop and to have uniform flow at AC outlet. 4. CFD Analysis of Wind Turbine Nacelle: The scope of the project was to analyse the thermal behaviour of wind turbine nacelle for different working condition and load cases. 5. CFD Analysis of Bus Coach Air Conditioner system: the scope of the project was to study the flow behaviour inside the bus coach AC. To model the heat exchanger porous media approach was used. Based on flow behaviour inside the bus coach AC some geometry modification was suggested. 6. CFD analysis of Low Pressure Steam Turbine Exhaust Hood: The main objective of this project was to perform cfd analysis for low pressure steam turbine exhaust hood for two different turbulence model k-epsilon and k-omega. And compare the result for above two turbulence model based on pressure recovery coefficient. 7. CFD Analysis of Three Stage Gas Turbine: The main objective of this project was to analyse the flow and heat transfer through rotor stator cascade of three stage gas turbine and to find out secondary losses, efficiencies and performance characteristics. Hexahedral mesh was created for all stages. 8. CFD Analysis of Three Stage Low pressure Steam Turbine: The main objective of this project was to analyse the flow and heat transfer through rotor stator cascade of

three stage low pressure gas turbine and to find out wetness fraction, efficiencies. Hexahedral mesh was created for all stages. 9. Gas Turbine Ventilation System: The main objective of this project was to carry out CFD analysis of gas turbine ventilation system to find the area of low velocity and to determine the location of gas leak sensors. 10. CFD simulation of Cyclone Separator: Flow pattern and Pressure distribution were analysed to improve the separation efficiency of the cyclone by using FLUENT. 11. HS10 Bowl Mixer Cooling Optimization: The main objective was to study the flow and heat transfer characteristics of HS10 bowl mixer cooling system and optimize the cooling channel for better heat transfer. Based on flow and heat transfer area some geometry modification was suggested which was implemented by client in new design. 12. CFD analysis of Two Gas Turbine Packages: The main objective of this project was to carry out CFD analysis of two gas turbine packages placed side by side in ambient air to find the ingestion of heat plumes from generator cooler outlet into the combustion air intake and generator intake. The analysis is carried out for 6 load cases. 13. CFD Analysis of Flue gas duct: The main objective of this project was to carry out flow analysis for industrial flue gas duct. Several design modification was suggested to reduce the flow separation and to get uniform velocity distribution at T junction pipe. 14. CFD analysis of SPX Air Dryer : The aim of CFD analysis was to simulate the flow inside the 3HEs and 8HEs air dryer and to optimize it for equal flow distribution through each Heat Exchanger. 15. CFD analysis of SPX Air Filter: The main objective was to analyse the flow through air filter and make recommendations to optimize the flow.

Masters Projects: M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) CFD Study of Flow behind Bluff Body (Using Fluent): The flow around groups of cylinders has been the subject of many studies in the past. Flow interference is responsible for several changes in the characteristics of fluid loads when more than one body is placed in a fluid stream. Investigations of the flow around pairs of cylinders can provide a better understanding of the vortex dynamics, pressure distribution and fluid forces, in cases involving more complex arrangements. This project presents detailed computational fluid dynamic study of the flow about a pair of cylinders in side-by-side and in tandem configurations.
