Sugar Technology Mission

(A Mission Implementation Unit of Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC), Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India) 5th Floor, 'A-Wing', Vishwakarma Bhawan, Shaheed Jeet Singh Marg, New Delhi -110 016 Sugar Technology Mission provides world class consultancy and project engineering services to sugar industry in India and abroad. We have been engaged by the Govt. of Fiji/ Fiji Sugar Corporation, Fiji, for revitalization of its three sugar mills. The following personnel are required for various domestic/ overseas assignments 1. Sr. Project Engineers/ Project Engineers Qualifications: Graduate in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Chemical Engineering or Post Graduate in Science with Diploma in Sugar Technology. Technical Skill: Good project management & execution skills and knowledge of drawing & design of sugar mill equipment, OR knowledge of operation & maintenance of modem sugar mill equipment, control & instrument systems, boiler operations and condensing TG set OR knowledge of sugar manufacturing processes and process operation, design of process equipment, quality control & energy saving systems. Candidate with experience in consultancy and advisory services will be given preference. Experience: 5 to 10 years for Project Engineers and 15 years for Sr. Project Engineers. 2. Sugarcane Agronomist Qualification: Doctorate/ Masters degree in Agriculture Technical Skill: Should have thorough knowledge of Cane cultivation in tropical area, Cane breeding and Cane management etc. Should be able to organize training programmes & extension services to improve sugar cane yield & quality and income of sugarcane growers. Experience: Min. 15 years out of which 8 to 10 years at senior level. 3. Alcohol Technologist Qualification: Chemical Engineering/ B.Sc (Chemistry) with DIFAT Technical Skill: Hands on knowledge of fermentation operation both batch & continuous multi pressure distillation system, reasonable exposure to distillery effluent operation, PLC/DCS based automation, compliance of excise procedures for warehousing. Experience: 8 to 10 years overall experience with minimum 3-5 years distillery in-charge.

Cogen Engineer Qualification: Graduate in Electrical Engineering Technical Skill: Sound knowledge of HT & LT electrical generation & transmission equipment and systems including high pressure boilers and DCS controls. Experience: 8 to 10 years of which 5 years in senior position.

Design Engineer Qualification: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering Technical skill: Good knowledge of AutoCAD and design of mills and process equipment. Candidate with working experience with turnkey vendor of sugar plant equipment will be preferred. Experience: 8 to 10 years of which 5 years in senior position.

Project Marketing (Sugar & Allied Industries) Qualifications: MBA with degree in Engineering from a reputed institution. Experience: About 5 years

Project Coordinator Qualifications: MBA (Finance) from a reputed Institution. Experience: 3 to 5 years in project coordination including manpower planning, commercial, financial and cost control.

Personal Assistant Qualifications: Any Graduate Skill: Good knowledge of computer i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point. Able to handle phone calls, filing, domestic and international air ticket/ rail booking. Minimum shorthand speed 80 w.p.m. Experience: 3 to 5 years.
