Career Achievements: Advocacy: With the help of constant liasioning with Government Officials at all level (Block to State level) three policy initiative was taken up in Uttar Pradesh and now in Jharkhand. Establish and is a member of State Core team on Health and Family Welfare. Took several steps in the last five months, which also include policy formulation in the area of: (a) State Nutrition Policy (b) State RCH and Population Policy adopted in June 2004 (c) State Health Policy -- adopted in June 2004 (d) State Drug Policy adopted in June 2004 (e) State New Born Care Policy, to bring down the High Infant Mortality rate and maternal Mortality Ratio Co-Ordination amongst International Agencies in the State: Played a major role to establish Inter Agency Forum under the Chairmanship of Secretary, (Health and Family welfare, Government of Jharkhand), European Union, UNICEF, USAID, PSI, CARE, etc. in the state to collectively address the common issues - an Achievement Linkages: Encouraged all staff for linking up INHP with other programme of CARE like Population and Reproductive Health and Education. Various Government programmes under Rural Development and womens empowerment were also linked with the ongoing INHP programmes- an Achievement. Capacity building of Service providers, partners and community was taken up and a quality capacity building effort was ensured through programme implementation. Convergence: Malnutrition is a health problem. In the last one and half year period better convergence between health and ICDS was developed at all level from village level to Secretary level. This convergence has really made a dent on addressing the problem, effectively. Project Planning: Making Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Based on State AOP, helped team to develop Team Implementation Plan (TIP) with corresponding budget for the entire year an Achievement. The Plan and budget are further divided in to monthly plan, which helps the team for monthly planning and monitoring. Project Monitoring: Regular monitoring of projects based on the quarterly progress reports and field visits. Reviewed Monitoring system and established improved Monitoring and Reporting System since April, 2000 Helped the Mission to develop Monitoring and Reporting Manual- an Achievement. Report Writing: Based on the monitoring and its analysis to provide recommendation to management for improvement in the project quality and on the other hand feed back to Field staff to incorporate the emerging issues from monitoring mechanism in the next time phase planning process, which completes the loop i.e. Planning->Implementation-> monitoring->Analysis->Issues->Planning. Commodity Management: With the help of Commodity Management Unit of CARE, ensure the uninterrupted supply of commodity to Beneficiaries at Village level, by giving due importance to Supply Chain Management.
