The Muscular System

David Mejia

One of the most known muscles is the biceps, because the guys always show them off when talking about muscles. The biceps are located in the upper part of the arm. The triceps are opposite the biceps and when you push a chair in you are activating this muscle. When you kick a soccer ball you activate your quadricep. The gluteus Maximus is known because is the one you sit on every day. Pectoral muscles help you do push ups. Your abdominal muscle helps you lift yourself up when laying down. And the deltoid allows you to throw a baseball.

The Immune System Discoveries

protected. In this case, the immune system helps fight off sickness, viruses and diseases in your body. You have lymph nodes (also called glands) in your body that contain immune system cells, white blood cells and leukocytes. Lymph nodes are connected with others, and they take white blood cells wherever needed. Usually white blood cells are floating in your body but, when bacteria enters, white blood cells start to work. This is what happens with white blood cells. They divide into more white blood cells. This is better because it is easier to fight of disease.

The Muscular System

Sergio Matiz

Muscles are made up by cells. Each muscle cell is called a fiber. Inside each muscle you have muscle strands. Strands are made up by thinner strands. Your brain sends a message to muscle fiber. When the message gets to your muscle fiber the tiny strands slides towards each other. So the muscle fiber gets shorter, the whole muscle contracts. It pulls parts that are attached it. That makes your body move. Voluntary muscles are muscles that moves by you telling them to move. Involuntary muscles are the muscles that are self movers or automatic, like blinking, breathing, and digesting food. Those muscles are controlled by nerves.

The Skeletal System

Olga Suarez

Have you ever wondered how your skeletal system works and why it is important? There are many reasons. It makes lots of blood cells in every second. Also it is important because it helps us to move, run and skip. Last, did you know that bones provide a hard surface for the muscles to attach to? The skeleton is a living framework for all kinds of muscles and organs. The bones provide a firm surface for the muscles organs.

The Organ that Controls Everything

Esteban Archila

You cant live without your brain, its the boss of you whole body. The brain controls everything about the nervous system. The brain sends messages to the nerves and the nerves sends messages back to the brain. The messages travel in thin long cables called nerves. If you want to move your arm the nerves send messages to the brain and the brain sends back a message to move your arm. This system controls life organs and parts things we dont control like breathing, digesting food, and circulating blood.

The Importance of the Busy Muscular System

Julian Hernandez

Muscles move animals and humans like you! You talk, walk, shake hands, smile or even blink, thanks to the muscles that you have in your body. The musculatory system can be one of the busiest systems in the human body. About 40% of your body system weight is made up of your muscles.

The muscles are made from a type of tissue composed of some cells called contractive cells or fibers that allow body movement. Together, with the skeletal system, your muscles provide the bodys framework and support for internal organs.

Navigating the Digestive System

Lucas Onoro

You are digesting before you even bite your food. When you smell the food your body prepares for digestion and it starts to send saliva. Then you put the first part of the food in your mouth and start chewing. The digestion takes a few hours to be completed. After you have chewed it enough, you swallow it and it goes down to your esophagus then, the food goes into the stomach. There the stomach releases acids to make the food small enough to be consumed by a cell. Then it travels to the small intestine. There are some capillaries and they consume the microscopic food, then it travels around the body feeding the red blood cells. The waste and not needed food moves on to the large intestine. There the waste sticks together and forms feces. Then it sends a signal to the brain to tell you its time to poop so then you go to the bathroom and WOOSH the feces is disposed out.

The Dazzling Fast Nervous System

Mateo Gomez

Your brain and nervous system are like the bodys own internal computer. Without them you wouldn't be able to see, touch, hear, smell, and taste. Also, your body would not respond to your movements and it wouldn't be able to do the processes needed for you to survive. Without your cerebrum you wouldn't be able to think. Without your cerebellum you cant keep your balance. Without the pituitary gland you wouldn't be able to grow. Without the brain stem the body wouldnt be able to do all the functions it needs to survive, like digesting food. The nervous system is essential for all living things. Without it, you cant live.

The Process of the Nervous System

Ana Urrutia

There are three main parts in your nervous system that are important including your brain, your spinal cord, and your nerves. Your brain is the boss of your body. It controls everything you do like breathing, thinking, your senses, walking, and every movement of your muscles. Your spinal cord extends from the brain all the way down your back to your waist. It branched out to smaller nerves around your body that serve many parts of the body, telling them what to do.

The Amazing Digestive System

Samantha Maldonado

Do you know about the digestive system? Do you know why it is important? The digestive system is a complex series of organs that break down the food and get rid of waste. Food contains vitamins, nutrients, and minerals your body needs. Your body uses food to grow, stay healthy, mend itself, and give you energy.

To be able to use the food we eat, our body has to break it down into very small molecules it can use. Some parts of the system are tube like that contain the food. Other parts contain or make digestive juices.

The Amazing Respiratory System

Ann Pearl
now we will take a journey through the immune system. 1. First the Epidermis (the outside layer of skin) warns the body of incoming germs like for example if you are cold. 2. The next part where germs try to attack is the eyes. The tears that wash the eyes have special enzymes (chemicals) that break down the cell walls of the bacteria. 3. Saliva in the mouth works like the tears in the eyes. Your saliva has special enzymes that break down cell walls of bacteria. 4. Mucous membranes line with mouth and lungs they act like a barrier to bacteria. 5. Stomach acid kills the bacteria that gets through all the barriers and protections. 6. If bacteria gets through all of those protections then the body sends white blood cells through lymph to the bacteria

The Immune System

Manuela Cortes

Your immune system is very important to your bodys health and keeping you alive and well. Without it you would probably get sick every day. Your immune system can fight off bacteria before you even realize you are sick. You know your immune system is working if you get better after you are sick. Thank your immune system!

The Skeletal System

Alexa Martinez

The skeletal system is important for many reasons. First of all, it keeps your body's structure up. If you didnt have bones you couldn't stand up or walk. Your jaw is important because without it, it would be hard to eat because your teeth are bones. The jaw also helps you talk. Your bones have another important function. They protect your organs because organs are fragile. The rib bones protect our heart, kidneys and lungs. Your skull is hard and protects your brain. Thats why the skeletal system is important.

The Amazing Great Circulatory System

Alejandro Comargo

It takes about a minute for a red-blood cell to go around the circulatory system. On the way back from the cells, blood enters to the right atrium of your heart and to the right ventricle. Then it goes to your lungs. In the lungs it gives the carbon dioxide and it gets new oxygen. Then it goes to the left atrium and left ventricle and to the arteries so it delivers water, food, and oxygen to all the cells.

Alejandra Cardenas

What process does our food have when it passes through the digestive system? First it starts in the mouth. Chewing breaks food down and mixes it with saliva that turns food into smaller molecules. Then we swallow the food that goes down the esophagus into the stomach. In the stomach strong acids and juices break down the food and pass it to the small intestine. In the small intestine food breaks down into nutrients. Then the nutrients pass through the small intestine to the blood to the cells. In the large intestine unused parts of the food go to the large intestine where water is removed and waste gets ready for elimination

The Nervous System

Mateo Pardo

The nervous system controls everything you do, like moving, eating, talking, hearing, everything you can think of that involves something with your body. Without it we would die. It tells our body what to do. It is made up of your brain, nerves, and spinal cord. The brain controls everything you do. The spinal cord, carries messages throughout your body to and from the brain. The nerves, receive and send messages to and from the brain.
