htm This WebQuest is called Christmas Bear and His Five Senses. It is a story that teaches students about the five senses. It is offered in text but also in audio for the Kindergarten Communication Arts students. It aligns with the GLE of Respond to examples of sensory details within the context of nonfiction text with assistance. I liked this WebQuest because students also have to follow directions by pressing where the audio instructs in order to listen to the whole story. The story explains the five senses with great pictures that students will enjoy. #2- http://www.tvokids.com/games/coincombo This WebQuest is called Coin Combo Game; it was the one that appealed me the most. The GLE is Identify and know the value of a penny, nickel, dime and quarter. This is for Kindergarten math students. This WebQuest includes a game in which it gives you a quantity and you have to click all the coins that make that quantity. When you get one correct it takes you to another challenge with numbers a bit bigger. If you dont answer correctly, then you must start from the beginning. It is very eye appealing as well as fun. I am sure students would really enjoy this. It is a great way for the students to show their skills of how well they know how to count money. #3- http://www.earobics.com/gamegoo/games/tina2/tina2.html The WebQuest of Can You Follow Directions? Tinas World 2 is self explanatory of what is to be done. Tina, a cartoon character, explains what she is wanting and what has to be done in order to achieve it. This WebQuest pertains to Kindergarten and in the subject of Communication Arts. The GLE is to listen or simple directions, with teacher assistance. This Webquest really appealed me because it is very easy for the teacher to explain what the WebQuest will be about. Tina, the girl who does the talking in the Webquest, gives examples of how she can find a bug. She must follow a couple of directions in order to get there. When it is the students turn, she explains it in a very easy way to understand. #4-http://funschool.kaboose.com/preschool/games/game_crazy_pattern_machine_the.html I found this WebQuest to be really helpful especially when a teacher wants to see how well students understand patterns. This WebQuest is called Crazy Pattern Machine and is designed for Kindergarten students it is a great activity to do during math class. This Webquest does not only have patterns but also numbers, colors, upper case letters, lower case letters, and shapes. Students can also decide what level they are ready for. This WebQuest aligns with the GLE of Recognize or repeat sequences of sounds or shapes. I think this would be a great way to start off

the year with and to end the school year with to see how much students know and at what level they are at. #5- http://www.storyplace.org/preschool/activities/bigger.asp?themeid=20 This WebQuest of Which is bigger? will be of great benefit to Kindergarten math classes. The GLE is Compare and order objects according to their size or weight. Students are able to choose which object is bigger. This WebQuest is great because it gives students more than one opportunity even if they are wrong. It will be helpful because students will be able to recognize the difference very easily. I really enjoyed the way it is done by using animals and objects are all of which Kindergartners will enjoy. It is a very rich WebQuest with all of the sounds, colors, and animations. #6- http://www.fossweb.com/modulesK-2/AnimalsTwobyTwo/activities/findtheparent.html The WebQuest of What will I be when I grow up? Shows students baby animals then students have to choose what those animals will look like when they grow up. This WebQuest is especially for Kindergarten science and the GLE is Requires reasoning, developing plan or a sequence of steps, some complexity, more than one possible answer. The Webquest shows the pictures of the animals big enough for students to be able to distinguish what they are. Students then will be given three baby animals to choose from, one of which is that animal when grown up. It is a very fun and interesting WebQuest. I liked it because it gives students more than one chance to be able to recognize the correct choice plus it allows them to think of how life changes animals as they age. #7-- http://pbskids.org/clifford/games/measuring_up.html The WebQuest of Measuring Up with Clifford is also for Kindergarten math students. It aligns with the GLE of Measure objects by comparison of lengths (shorter, same, longer). I like it because there are many words used to describe size. In this WebQuest, it asks the child to click on the smallest, thinnest, longest, shortest, thinnest, or tallest object. A voice lets the students know whether they got it correct or not and Clifford the dog acts happy at correct answers by barking and he wont if they did not. This is an activity that could be done sometime around the beginning of the school year that way they all understand how to tell differences in objects by sizes. #8- http://www.kizclub.com/storytime/safety/first.html This WebQuest relates to the GLE of Identify why laws and rules are made. This WebQuest is for kindergarten Social Studies students. It does not only give good examples of in school but also out of school. I liked that this WebQuest has audio reading with words that are highlighted when read. Students just have to click on an arrow whenever they are ready to go to the next page. If students want to listen to it again they are able to. Teachers would even be able to ask

questions about each page. With this webquest, students can easily understand what rules and laws are and how they are different as well as similar. #9- http://www.beaconlearningcenter.com/WebLessons/AsTheEarthTurns/turn18a.htm This WebQuest is called As the Earth Turns and the GLE that aligns with it is Requires an investigation, time to think and process multiple conditions of the problem. This WebQuest is for kindergarteners. It pertains to the subject of science. It is a story with many fun and explainable pictures. It explains where the sun goes after it gets dark. I like the examples given of how the Earth rotates. It is a story and there are a couple of questions included to see if the students learned what they listened to. It is also of great benefit because students have to follow directions and press on objects in order to go on. #10http://www.internet4classrooms.com/grade_level_help/culture_kindergarten_k_social_studies.ht m This WebQuest is Culture Topics and is aligned with the GLE of identify artifacts (building structures and materials, works of art representative of cultures, fossils, pottery, tools, clothing, musical instruments. This WebQuest will show students about cultures and how we all have different customs. Students will be able to explore cultures by being able to click into something that interests them. I liked it because it doesnt have much wording and will be easy for Kindergarten students to understand and of course the teacher will have to read what they do not understand. This is going to be a great way to explore about cultures for Social Studies students.
