20132014 RE-REGISTRATION STEPS

At this time of year we ask you to log in to the OLS and tell us your plans for next year. You may want to print this document and have it next to you as you make your way through the process. Let us show you how!

STEP 1
A)  Log in to the OLS (http://online.K12.com/login) and click My Info. . youll automatically land on the Enrollment page.

Unknown Status

B)  Click the Registration tab at the top of the screen to get to the registration screen. Note that your status defaults to Unknown in the blue Registration section at the bottom.

STEP 2
Click Unknown in the blue Registration section and a pop-up window will appear. A)  From the drop-down list, select Registering to indicate that your student is returning. B)  If you have more than one student and they are ALL returning, check the box next to Same to all your students? (If you have more than one student and they are NOT all returning, simply repeat these steps for each student listed on the previous screen.) C) Y  ou must also check the two remaining boxes to confirm your understanding that your previous agreements still apply, and that you have the legal authority to make registration decisions for each student. D) Then click the Save button.

CHECK POINT!

Are all of the boxes in the orange Compliances section and the green Approval section now marked Not Applicable? (See SCREEN A below.) If so, congratulationsyoure finished re-registering! However, if the Compliances and Approval boxes look like SCREEN B below, you need to submit one or more documents in order for your student to be approved to re-register. These documents are necessary to meet our public school requirements. Please proceed to STEP 3.

STEP 3
Click Not Completed in the orange Compliances section (see SCREEN B) to find out what forms are required. The next screen will list the form or forms you need to resubmit or update, along with instructions to complete them. If at any point you have questions about these forms, please contact your school directly.

If all marked Not Applicable, youre finished re-registering.

If marked like this, click Not Completed to continue.

STEP 4
Once youve successfully submitted all documents, the orange Compliances section on the main screen will read Completed and the green Approval section will read Approved. This means youre finished re-registering your student(s). Congratulations!

SCVCS Profile 2013-2014

South Carolina Virtual Charter School is a well established virtual pubic school with a five year record of successful academic achievement. In addition to our online school learning activities, students have the opportunity to be involved with social outings and field trips (i.e. BMW, Patriots Point, State Museum, aquariums, Roper Mt. Science Center). Students may also attain membership in national academic organizations such as the National Honor Society (middle & high). Students may also attain membership in national academic honor societies in math, music, art, French, and Spanish. FCA and student government will be initiated at the middle school level for the 2013-2014 school year. Typically, PASS scores in grades 3-8 meet or exceed the scores of those schools similar in student population. SCVCS high school graduates were offered an excess of 3 million dollars over the last two years in scholarships. Graduates have been accepted to most South Carolina colleges and universities. Graduates have also been accepted to prominent institutions throughout the country to include Duke, UCLA, University of Texas/Austin and Oklahoma State. An impressive 72% of the graduates received scholarships and attend post secondary institutions of higher learning. SCVCS is fully accredited by the South Carolina Public Charter School District and recently received a ten year charter renewal.
