April 23, 2013 Subject: My opposition to increasing NYS Taxes to Finance Fair Election Campaigns

In your December 5, 2101 Letter to Governor Cuomo you state that The States big money campaign finance system fuels cynicism among voters. In my opinion voter cynicism is fueled by the fact that our State and Federal Politicians are Morally Corrupt. The basis for my opinion is discussed below: (1) Our present-day MCP (Morally Corrupt Politicians) compete for elected office by allowing campaign financing to be spent on SHOD (Smear, Hypocrisy, Outlandish Clams, and Deception). This perverted tactic sends a terrible message to our young people and I refuse to allow my tax dollars to be used for this purpose. This perverted tactic also results in the election of the lesser of two evils. Voter disgust with our State and Federal Government Politicians is continually expressed in the Opinion pages of the Buffalo News. (2) SHOD is protected by our First Amendment and is called Political Speech. (3) During the Great Depression and WWII our Politicians combined deficit spending with austerity to convert America into an industrialized nation. After WWII our Politicians continued the austerity and our industrial growth essentially eliminated Americas dependency on Federal Government Deficit Spending. (4) By 1960 foreign nations had recovered from the devastation of WWII and become more competitive. By 1975 America began to run a Trade Deficit due to purchase of low-cost imports. The resulting unemployment was evidence that America needed to become leaner and meaner to remain competitive with other nations. The key question is how our Federal Government Politicians responded to Americas need to become competitive. (5) Our 1976 Federal Government Politicians were unwilling to make America competitive. They would risk losing votes and Political careers by asking American voters to accept austerity. MCP had become so morally corrupt they decided to protect their Political careers by transforming America into a careless and wasteful nation. (6) In 1978 MCP passed the Humphrey- Hawkins Full Employment Act allowing MCP to create Illusionary Jobs using Federal Government deficit spending. This allowed MCP to win votes by borrowing from the future to make the present seem better. MCP call this borrowing an investment but Fiscally Responsible Americans call this running up the Credit Card Debt. Your Federal Debt Credit Card is enclosed and I suggest you ask Senators Schumer and Gillebrand when they expect Americans to max out this Credit Card. (7) The Illusionary jobs sustain a growing sub-culture of un-wed mothers and their neglected children. (8) Big Money represents the big campaign contributions used to convince MCP to create the big tax breaks that are funded by the Federal Government Deficit Spending that now threatens America with economic and social chaos. (9) Big money is not the reason our Political System has become Criminally Dysfunctional. Since 1976 our elected Federal Government politicians have transformed into unaccountable elected Federal Government white collar criminals who avoid Fair Elections using the following tactics: (a) Our Political Parties protect their incumbents by refusing to accept Term Limits. (b) Our Political Parties protect their incumbents by Gerrymandering Election Districts. (c) Our Political Parties protect their incumbents by allowing campaign financing to be converted into slopbuckets used to drench our communities with electronic media sewage containing SHOD. (10) The sad reality is that our Politicians are degrading America rather than making America more competitive. My website http://www.scribd.com/6115oversight provides documents describing how the Democratic and Republican Parties have degraded America. Several of these documents are enclosed. I am not familiar with the Code of Conduct at the Brennan Center for Justice. However, my workplace has a Code of Conduct that prohibits tactics such as SHOD. Michael F.
