Mobile value-added services provider DigiVive will invest $15 million (Over Rs. 70 crore) in the coming months for enhancing its mobile TV offering to meet the ever-increasing demand. The companys flagship mobile TV application NexGTv recently bagged the mobile streaming rights of the ongoing Indian Premier League. Internet penetration on mobile has by far exceeded PC users and the company is exploring options to tap opportunities provided by the 3G and 4G networks. GSA (Global mobile Suppliers Association) report, Evolution to LTE, released March 19, 2013 has confirmed that Huawei is leading the industry for a number of deployed LTE 1800MHz networks. According to the report, 69 of a total 156 commercial LTE networks deployed worldwide utilize 1800MHz spectrum. Verizon Communications Inc posted a higher-than-expected quarterly profit on the performance of its wireless business, which reined in costs without slowing growth. Verizon also ramped up the pressure on Vodafone Group Plc, which owns 45 percent of the Verizon Wireless unit.
