Safety Precautions
To ensure safety of humans and the equipment, pay attention to the safety symbols on the equipment and all the safety instructions in this document. The "NOTE", "CAUTION", and "WARNING" marks in other documents do not represent all the safety instructions. They are only supplements to the safety instructions. When operating Huawei equipment, in addition to following the general precautions in this document, follow the specific safety instructions given by Huawei. Huawei will not be liable for the consequences that are caused by the violation of the safety operation regulations and design, production, and usage standards.
Personnel Requirements
Only trained and qualified personnel are allowed to install, operate, and maintain Huawei equipment.
Symbols
Alerts you to a potentially hazardous situation that could, if not avoided, result in equipment damage, data loss, performance deterioration, or unanticipated results. Provides additional information to emphasize or supplement important points in the main text.
Human Safety
To prevent electric shock, get tools insulated and wear electrostatic discharge (ESD) gloves when connecting cables. To prevent dust inhalation or contact with the eyes, take adequate preventive measures when drilling holes.
Power1000 V200R003 (Power1000 for short) is applicable in various scenarios. This presentation describes the installation procedures in the following four scenarios: 1. D.G.+DCB; 2. D.G.+D.G.+DCB; 3. D.G.+Mains+DCB; 4. D.G.+D.G.+Mains+DCB. In this document, D.G. stands for diesel generator, and DCB stands for deep cycle battery.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the D.G. and Battery Hybrid Power System.
Singlecompartment MBBS
Method 1: Route four steel wire ropes through the four lifting eyes on the top of the cabinet respectively and secure them at the base of the cabinet, as shown in the following figure. Then hoist the cabinet to the installation place using a crane. Method 2: Move the cabinet to the installation place using a pallet track.
When hoisting the cabinet, ensure that no friction occurs between the steel wire rope and the cabinet. If the cabinet is scratched during transportation, paint or apply glue to the scratched areas. Method 1: Using a crane 1 1 Method 2: Using a pallet truck

After that, the HPMU starts D.G. 1 and then stops it, and starts D.G. 2 and then stops it. The HPMU finally displays DG1 test: Pass DG2 test: NT/Fail. 0# MAIN MENU MAIN MENU 2009-06-16 Enter Enter Enter password Enter Reset HPMU Sms Test Batt1 Volt:52.3V Status Status end with #: DG Test Batt2 Volt:50.6V Maintenance Maintenance ># BMU&DTS Test Supplier:DG1 Settings Settings

In scenarios with one D.G., the D.G. must be connected to ports reserved for D.G. 1 on the SAU. Otherwise, the D.G. 1 test fails, and the D.G. 2 test cannot be performed.

Connect the Power1000 to the mains. The ATS starts the AC mains power supply and the D.G. stops after tens of seconds (this duration is configurable). Check whether the values in the system information list are the same as the actual configurations, whether the LEDs on panels of the SAU and HPMU indicate alarms, and whether an alarm message for the SAU or HPMU is displayed after you select Active Alarm . If there is an alarm, rectify the fault. For details, see the maintenance guide. Switch on the DC-powered load connecting to the power system and the AC-powered load connecting to the ATS. If no alarm is raised after the system runs for a period of time, close and lock the cabinet doors, and hand the keys over to the persons in charge.

Scenario 4: D.G.+D.G.+Mains+DCB
Network Diagram
Compared with scenario 1, scenario 4 requires the mains, one more D.G., and five more cables, namely, the AC power cable betw een the mains and the ATS, signal cable for monitoring the mains voltage, AC power cable between D.G. 2 and the ATS, signal cablefor monitoring the voltage of the 12 V storage battery in D.G. 2, and signal cable for starting D.G. 2.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the D.G. and Battery Hybrid Power System. 2. Disconnect the power supply of the original storage battery.
32
Configure the ATS to work in manual mode by referring to the ATS User Manual .
Switch the power supplier to the D.G. on the ATS by referring to the ATS User Manual .
For details, step b under section 2 Disconnecting the Power Supply of the Original Storage Battery on page 8.

1. For the D.G. that is started when the dry contact is closed, connect the signal cable for starting the D.G. to the NC1 and COM1 ports or NC2 and COM2 ports of the SAU. For the D.G. that is started when the dry contact is open, connect the signal cable for starting the D.G. to the NO1 and COM1 ports or NO2 and COM2 ports of the SAU. 2. Before connecting the signal cable between the fuel level sensor and the SAU, remove the 2-pin terminal (green part in the following figure) from the cable.

No short circuit occurs between the 48 V power cable and any of the ground bar, positive bus bar, three-phase live wire, neutral
wire, and ground cable. No short circuit occurs between the three-phase live wire, the neutral wire, and the ground cable.
Flip the power switches of the SAU and HPMU both to the ON position.
For details, see step 2 in section 4 "Powering On and Commissioning the Power1000" on page 15.
For details, see step 3 on pages 16 21. Start the AC input of the power system and AC output of the ATS, and configure the D.G. and ATS to work in automatic mode. The D.G. starts to charge the DCB. Check whether the data in the SAU system information list and on the HPMU standby screen matches the actual configurations. If yes, proceed to step 6. If no, check cable connections and part configurations.
For details about how to set parameters on the SAU and HPMU, see step 5 on pages 2122.
