Structure of the modules contained in part 2 :

what are the typical problems plaguing the process? what are the capabilities required to elimitate these
problems? what is the resulting value? what are the characteristics that describe an optimized process (excellence criteria)?

In each of the fifteen modules which compose the second part of the course, we will learn (or review) what are the typical problems plaguing a specific sub-process, what are the capabilities required to eliminate these problems, and what is the value resulting from the elimination of these problems. Also, at the end of each module, we will review a list of excellence criteria , which describe the characteristics that a business process requires to guarantee a fully optimized output. These excellence criteria are an important element of the course, because they not only summarize and complement the learning of the module, but they also offer a structured and synthetic guide towards Supply Chain Management optimization. At the end of the course, just before taking the final examination, you will be asked to rate the business processes of your company against these excellence criteria, which hopefully will help reveal the excellence gap that your company faces today. This second part of the course is more detailed than the first part, and therefore is primarily intended for people dealing with Supply Chain Management activit y on an operational basis. This doesnt mean however that Senior Executives should not take it, but it should be limited to those Executives who have a direct involvement in Supply Chain Management processes. One last comment about the recommended sequence of the learning experience: after studying each of the 18 modules, you have the possibility to test your understanding of the subject by taking a short self-evaluation test composed of 5 to 10 questions with multiple choices.
