We currently have SMART Boards in almost every classroom, and the addition of these new desktops will greatly improve instruction and enhance learning for all of our 988 students and our entire staff. It will also allow teachers to better prepare lessons and keep track of student data. This technology will help our students learn the 21st century skills they will need to be successful -- creating, communicating, colloborating, and critical thinking. The addition of these desktops will give students more access to technology within their classrooms. $ 562.80 $ 29,265.60 These laptops would be placed in a cart which is portable and can be used by any classroom teacher who signs out for it for the day. Our 988 students are able to access the Internet wirelessly for research and also use the Office applications for school projects, reports, and presentations. Similar to the desktops, this technology will help our students learn the 21st century skills they will need to be successful -- creating, communicating, colloborating, and critical thinking. When students have access to laptops, instruction can be differentiated, and students have greater access to technology in their classrooms. $ 708.76 $ 16,301.48

$ 605.86 $ 9,087.90 These all-in-ones serve as multi-functional devices that will greatly benefit our classrooms. Oftentimes, our teachers need to print out assessments in order to provide feedback to parents or administrators. The scanning and copying functions allows teachers to project student work or to make a digital copy of their work for student portfolios. Other printers will be used to print out school data and school documents and notices for our 988 students and their parents/guardians to help improve communication. The other 3 printers will be connected to our laptop carts so that students can print out their research and projects to be displayed around the school. These printers will benefit our school by enhancing student work for their portfolio work and presentations, as well $ 635.81 $ 1,907.43 as improving their research skills.

SMART Document Camera

Tequipment, Inc.

The document cameras are directly integrated with the SMART Notebook software. These cameras allow teachers to create media-rich digital lessons. They allow teachers to provide close-up views of texts, student work, and also real-life objects, which create engaging lessons for our students. Images can be captured and saved into the Gallery and inserted into lesson activities. This would equip six $ 834.02 $ 5,004.12 classrooms, affecting approximately 180 students.

Our school is a demonstration school for the Arts, so we conduct a number of performances throughout the year, including National Dance Institute, Ballroom Dancing, Young People's Chorus, etc. Cameras can be used to capture images and video of these events and share them with our students, parents, and staff. With permission from parents, some of these images and/or video clips can be posted online to help promote school culture and show others the value of the Arts in our school. We will also use these cameras to help us with classroom observations and to improve best practices. Students will create videos to promote the learning that is happening in the classrooms. We want our students to be familiar with using digital images and videos as a way of demonstrating what they're learning and doing in the school. This will benefit our 988 students, our staff, and our $ 376.18 $ 1,880.90 $ 524.02 $ 524.02 community.

FrontRow to Go Sound System

Tequipment, Inc.

Our school often holds school events, assemblies, and meetings for our parents and the community in large common areas in our school like our cafeteria, our school auditorium, and our playroom. This sound system would allow us to broadcast audio to large audiences, so that everyone could hear what was being said. This will make for more effective presentations and helps with capturing everyone's attention during these school events. We can also use this during rehearsals for our school performances, as you can plug audio devices into them, which presently are not loud enough to hear in these large spaces. This portable technology would give our school quick and easy access $ 818.27 $ 818.27 for sound amplification and will help with our school events throughout the year. $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - $ - TOTAL $ 73,278.80
