Rep. Dovilla Announces Legislator for a Day Reading Program Winners Initiative Continues to Grow, Encourage Children to Learn About Ohio
COLUMBUSState Representative Dovilla (R-Berea) has announced the winners of his 3rd annual Legislator for a Day reading program. Children in grades one through six participated in the program by receiving a bookmark from their school librarian or visiting the Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls or Strongsville branches of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. After recording five books that they read on the back of the bookmark, the returned bookmark served as their entry to become a Legislator for a Day. Our educational program experienced tremendous growth this year, said Dovilla. We had over 250 children participate, reading more than 2,400 books. I would like to acknowledge the encouragement of the students parents as well as the childrens librarians and teachers who promoted this worthwhile program.
