China is a beautiful, wonderful and colourful country that has wonderful plants and animals. Chinas history goes back thousands and thousands of years, from when they still had emperors and dynasties. China also has a variety of languages, 60% of Chinese people speak mandarin, 25% speak Cantonese and 15% speak Taiwanese. Chinas land area is 9,326,410 sq. km. Chinas area is nearly 2,000,000 square kilometres bigger than Australias area. China has lots of religions, 53% are Agnostic, 31% are folk religion, 10% are Buddhist and the rest are Christian. China has lots of sports; there main sports are martial arts, badminton, soccer and table tennis. Chinas native animal is called the Panda. Chinas capital city is Beijing, it is famous for its landmarks, and one of the famous landmarks is The Great Wall Of China. The Great Wall of China was built 2,000 years B.C. It was 5,000 Kilometres long and soon enlarged to 6,200 Kilometres long. Macau is also a famous city in china. Macau is a very popular tourist attraction. Macau is the only place your aloud to gamble in china. Macau was ruled by the Portuguese for a long time but then china took over. Shanghai is another tourist attraction. Shanghai is famous for its modern city and its ancient culture. Shanghai is an amazing mix of both modern and traditional Chinese features. China also has a population of 1.3billion people. The only way theres a lot of people in china is because its easy to find a job in china. Thats why theres a large population in china these days. China is also rich for its food, and one of them is rice. Rice is rich for its wheat. Wheat is a thing that Chinese people tend to grow, so that means wheat is a rich product. Chinese people tend to eat Pork more than any other type of meat. Because in china the cheapest meat is pork so thats why Chinese people tend to eat pork. Chinese people also love vegetables; its also part of their daily life. Chinese people love the greens because they say it is healthier than other types of vegetables. Noodles are also in Chinese peoples daily life. Chinese people like noodles with egg, vegetables, soup and vinegar. China also has festivals that happen once a while. One of the festivals is the spring festival, which happens once every spring. The dragon boat festival is also a famous festival. In the dragon boat festival, men participate in a kayaking race. The men make there our kayak and race other men. The mid-autumn festival is also a famous festival. In the mid-autumn festival is when the moon is round and people in china eat Moon Cake.

China also does a lot of trading with other countries. China trades the same as America does by manufacturing raw materials and shipping them overseas. The difference is that they export a LOT more than they import, which means that they have huge trade supplies. China trades with United States of America, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Germany, ETC. Chinas president is called Wen Jiabao. 2000 years ago china didnt have presidents, they had kings. China has more than a thousand kings in its history. Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi was the last out of the thousand. When a king dies, its son becomes king and them it goes on and on and on until they dont have another son. When they dont have a son anymore another family becomes king. China also competes in the Olympic Games that happen once every four years. Last year the Olympic Games that were held in London, China id really well . The sport china do really well in is swimming. Last year china won themselves lots of golds off swimming. In 2008 the Olympic Games were held in Beijing with was the capital of china. Chinas weather is pretty good. The first half of winter is fine, but when it comes to the second half of winter the weather gets bad. In the first half of winter it barely rains but halt in the second of winter it always rains. The environment in china is acceptable. In the city the environment is perfectly fine, but in the villages the environment is disgusting. One of the famous people in china is Jackie Chan. Jackie Chan has been a lot of movies. His also a Kung Fu master. Back in the 19th century Bruce lee was famous in Hong Kong, which is part of china. Bruce Lee was famous for his movies and his self-defence skills. Jet Li was also a famous Kung Fu master in 2002-2006, but his not really famous now.
