PROJECT - LIBRARY SYSTEM 1.

ABSTRACT Library strives to create an environment that is conducive to the needs of learning and research, and facilitates the pursuit of academic and personal development. At the same time, the Library must prevent any misuse of its collections, facilities, and services. As such, a few rules are necessary. All users who wish to borrow books and other materials from the Library must adhere to the Rules for Borrowing Books. The Library reserves the right to take disciplinary action against users who do not adhere to the rules. 2. INTRODUCTION Rules for borrowing books 1. 2. Only registered users may borrow books from the Library. Users wishing to borrow materials must present a valid student matric card or staff ID card. They must also fill out the borrowing slip with their name and signature. 3. Users are not allowed to borrow books if they are already in possession of other overdue items. 4. Users are fully responsible for maintaining the condition of the materials they borrow. Any lost or damaged materials should be reported to the Library immediately. 5. Users are required to replace lost materials. If the same title cannot be obtained, an item with a similar title may be submitted. If no alternative title can be found, the purchase price of the book must be paid to the Library. Users will also be charged a RM20.00 processing fee. 6. Users should return borrowed materials on or before the date stated on an items borrowing slip. Each item that is not returned by its due date will be charged an overdue fine, calculated daily. Users will receive a reminder by email that they are in possession of overdue materials. 7. Users may request a one-time extension (or renewal) of the borrowing period, provided that no other user has requested the same material. 8. Full- and part-time lecturers may borrow reference books for 1 day (overnight). They must fill out the Library Materials Borrowing Record for Staff. 9. Users who are found to have removed material from the Library without properly borrowing them will face disciplinary action. 10. Audiovisual materials are for in-library use only. They cannot be borrowed. 11. Note that the Library counter closes its services 15 minutes before the Library itself closes.

User registration Before users can take advantage of the Librarys collections, facilities, and services, they must first register. Library registration forms are available at the Library counter. Students

Students pay a library fee when they register. New students are issued a matric card. Returning students are issued a sticker for their matric card that indicates that their registration is current. This card must be presented when registering. Students are requested to provide one passport-sized photograph with their Library registration form.

The library is a place to gain knowledge of reference books available. The process of adding a book in the library of publishers and lend books to members.
