For convenient reference and aid in visual identification, this brochure shows
the most popular Holophane Controlens fluorescent lenses, with basic specifying information. All Holophane lenses are injection-molded acrylic construction for unmatched optical prccision and clarity, as well as excellent color and mechanical stability. Thcy will ensure uncompromised appearance and light control

efficiency for any luminaire.

Designerlenses.
The 1/8?i -base cone prism 6244 Iens, pictured, is identical in appearance to lenses 6245, 622'7, 6228 and 6339. Lenses 6251 and 62RF51 have a3/16t'prism cone base but otherwise look the same.
Tapered rcinforcing ribs on the top of the 6250 lens divide the lens into 1/xl/ segments, and add breakage resistance while providing a novel visual pattern.

The revolutionary, unique 8224 Refractive Grid" lens featurcs excellent light utilization for wide spacing ratios, coupled with dramatic reduction of high angle brightness lp to10% over the best cone prism lenses.

The 7170 and'72'70 Perm-Align" is a dropped prismatic sidewall lens with an uplight component to reduce ceiling/ luminaire contrast. It combines the efficiency of a cone prisrn
with the look of
a

dropped white diffuser.

Regressed 7150 and 7250 lenses feature a 3/4'l sloped sidewall that creates a soft luminous transition between the lens surface and ceiling.

Thc 6044 lcns is designed to provi.le even, vertical illumination on a wall or other upright surfacc. t'rom zr single fluorescent iamp. Longitudinal prisms on its lo$,er sLlrface vary in hcight and shape to propcrly rcfract light and evenly wash the illuminated surface. Upper surface transverse flutes spread and obscure the lamp image.

Whele radio frequency interference shiclding is required, the 62RF5l provides the nost opticiill.v cfficient prismatic
lcns with electronic shielding properties available. It should be used in conjunction with a fixture specifically designcd for this purposc.

Wraparound lenses.
Injection-molded Holophane wraparound lenses are both efficient and
tough. With their rcsilient. integral white end caps, they form a unit that is exceptionally resistant to breakage. Optically, use of a special sidewall prismalic design redirects discomforl high anglc

glare into useful zooes, including an uplight component to reduce ceiling

contrast.

The 6100 series lens, for 1-lamp wraparound fixturcs. is ideal for corridor

lighting because of its vertical surface

illumination capability.
