[ITS ALL ABOUT OUR VISIT IT TO THE A RENOWNED AGRO BASED INDUSTRY, KEVENTER IT HAS BEEN DONE IN 3 PARTS i.e., INTRODUCTION, OBSERVATION AND CONCLUSION.]

INTRODUCTION :

This is all about our visit to the KEVENTER Agro based Industry at BARASAT on 26th August,2010. Keventer is a industry which has earned a lot of accolades around the globe about their bestowing goodness to peoples life.this industry was just a dream of the great Edward Keventer around 120 years ago. With creditable beginning and a pristine canvas to create meritorious impressions, the keventer group set to work. The group entered into a franchisee agreement with the food beverage giant- PARLE to manufacture, package, distribute and market its well known brands namely FROOTI - a popular mango drink, APPY & APPY FIZZ the instyle apple drinks & BAILEY packaged drinking water. In no time, it earned the coronet of being the first to introduce the aseptic packing in beverage category.

Words are always less when it comes to describe any industry like KEVENTER AGRO.The best we can say is that,it is an industry which has a product like FROOTI which is the most loved product around the world. The love for frooti among the people can be thought by looking in there annual turnover of 305 crore from the BARASAT Plant only. We will now discuss about it in detail in the next observation part.

OBSERVATION:
Keventer Agro, part of the Rs. 10.50 billion Keventer group, is a trendsetter in the Dairy and Beverage industry. In its foray to continuously venture into new markets, embrace new challenges and adapt changing trends Keventer Agro Limited has taken over the food export division of M/S Eicher International Ltd. The division exports food products such as Mango Pulp, Guava Pulp, Sesame Seeds, and Bakery Ingredients to various customers across the globe. Keventer Group finds its firm foundation in good quality products, in-depth understanding of consumer needs and transparent business practices. It is synonymous with purity, quality and care leading to better life for more and more people. With extensive experience in food and beverage industry the company has brands like Metro Dairy, Frooti, Bailey mineral water, and novel drinks like Appy and Njoi.Keventer strongly believes that the ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity. Tapping this opportunity to the fullest it has

taken over the food division of Eicher.

Keventer will continue to maintain the tradition of high quality standards set by the earlier management and improve them even further by adapting the latest technology and meeting the changing needs of consumers. At the very outset it has acquired the rights of processing mango pulp in the plant at Tamil Nadu. Keventer is the only company in India to have invited independent and reputed agencies to provide online quality assurance during pulp production. It has tied up with SGS, a company of international repute in the food quality field to provide quality certification to the plant.

Keventer itself being the consumer of mango pulp for manufacturing the highest selling mango drink Frooti, understands the category best. Keventer Agro exports a variety of mango pulp, specially the Alphonso and Totapuri species, which confirm to the highest quality standards. The manufacturing process meets every requirement of "Good Manufacturing Practice" and conforms to the "General Principles of Food Hygiene". P Pesticides Residue and Microbiological Standards. In no time, Keventer Agro has emerged as India's leading exporter of Mango Pulp supplying to companies in Middle East, South East Asia and Europe.

CONCLUSION:
After the whole experience of our visit to the KEVENTER, it was the time to know about the main objective behind their success which has been the same since 120 years ago and has kept them alive, strong, & giving a tough competition to the other industry. The most common thing we get to notice is the upmost statement of their vision WE EXIST BECAUSE OUR CUSTOMERS EXIST & there main mission is to be a part of peoples daily food and beverage intake through manufacturing and marketing of processed food and value added agro products. This mission and vision has kept the KEVENTER alive and the hard work of all keventerian has given us a lot to learn. It was nice to see how the four Ms(Man,Machine,Money,Materials) of a organization works. The whole experience has showed a bright future and a better prospect for

us,who always dream of being part of a name like KEVENTER..
