Artbridge™ is an organization created by artists for artists, whose purpose is to develop,

curate and showcase works of large format art for public display and enjoyment.
Through Artbridge, artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work to a wider public
audience including the casual observer and art enthusiast alike. All projects are large scale,
sometimes taking the artists into unfamiliar territories and bringing new and interesting
influences to communities.

Artbridge takes the experience of art beyond gallery walls and moves it onto the street
where it can be fully experienced. In a city under constant construction and redevelopment,
Artbridge installations attempt to interact with pedestrians in a new way, bringing light, color,
form and beauty to our daily outdoor world.

Art Drop-off deadline for Selected Art: Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Overview: For installation in Spring 2009, our curatorial team is interested in work for an
outdoor exhibition featuring all emerging, New York based artists, with chosen work to be
prominently displayed at a well-known, outdoor Chelsea location throughout the 2009
calendar year.

Submission considerations: Chosen work will be reproduced in extra-large, high-resolution

format, with final printed sizes ranging from 4ft high x 12ft wide to 4ft high x 25ft wide.
These unique proportions may or may not suit your work, so please consider the submission
requirementsbefore entering (see below).

Location: The chosen location for placement of the final works is well-known and in the
heart of West Chelsea. Specific location to be disclosed closer to the show date. There will
be an opening night event as well as press for the show. Each artist will also be listed at
www.art-bridge.org website with links connecting to each artists individual site.

Entry Guidelines: In order to participate, you must be an emerging New York City-based
artist. Thank you in advance for your adherence.

• Please submit only one (1) JPEG per artist.

• Work can be in any medium, on any paper or canvas, stretched or unstretched
• There is no specfic theme or narrative for the exhibition, though we believe that
abstract works may be best suited for the size and format of this show. How that is
interpreted is up to you. Submission can also be a detail of a larger piece.

Working to Correct Size: (Please see template on page 5). Because of the unusually
large final reproduction size of each piece, you will need to follow the exact measurements
provided on the PDF template. Working from this document will guarantee correct
reproduction of your work in the final show. Submissions that do not fit this format cannot

Final Selections, Reproduction, Participation and Exhibition:

Due to the physical limitations of the outdoor space, only a select group of artists will be
chosen. Given the considerable costs of producing this exhibition, if your submission is chosen
there is a participation fee of $195 that helps to defer the cost of production, printing,
photography, handling and hanging of the art. Please consider, in reference to the cost,
that your work will be prominently displayed, outdoors in the heart of West Chelsea for
approximatley one (1) calendar year along with your bio and contact information posted
on our website for the same period. We also expect a fair amount of press for the exhibit.

Photography of Chosen Pieces, Return of Art, Artists rights and Ownership:

All pieces chosen for show will be photographed by ArtBridge and converted to digital
format for reproduction at 300dpi in CMYK process printing on weather-resistant,
fade-resistant material. All art can be picked up after photogrphy is completed. Date TBD.

As the artist, you retain full ownership of your original piece and are free to sell it after the
opening date. The large reproductions (the actual pieces that are hung for the show) become
the property of Artbridge. If there is outside interest in buying one of the panels at the end
of the show, it can be sold at a price chosen by each individual artist. Artbridge will receive
20% of the final sale price. Condition of panels may vary widely when removed from
installation. Therefore, we are not responsible for the condition of panels or thier usability
upon removal.

Press photos and official photos of exhibition taken by Artbridge are the property of
Artbridge, and will be available upon request to be used by each artist solely for their own
promotion. These photos may not be used, reproduced, sold or circulated in any other way
without expressed written permission from Artbridge.

• Email entry form and JPEG due by 5:00pm, Monday, December 15th, 2008
Send to: submissions@art-bridge.org.

• If your work is selected: You will be notified by email by Friday, January 9th.
Your participation fee of $195 will be due by January 16th, 2009.

• Only if your submissions is selected, the deadline for drop-off of your original art is
Saturday, January 31th, 2009, 5:00pm. Original art drop-off by appointment only.
