Potential health effects

CAUTION: ! off-white liquid liquid mineral oil-like Contact causes eye irritation, Contact causes skin irritation. Spills are very slippery.

Primary routes of entry: Skin, Eyes, Inhalation, Ingestion Chronic exposure: Causes eye and skin irritation. Inhalation of mists or sprays may lead to respiratory irritation. Acute exposure to petroleum distillate vapour may cause dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, and irritation of the respiratory tract. Prolonged and repeated exposure may cause central nervous system damage, as well as heart and blood disorders. Aspiration of petroleum distillates may cause chemical pneumonitis.
Potential environmental effects

Releases to the environment are to be avoided.

4. First-aid Measures
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, if not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen and get immediate medical attention. Skin: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and launder before re-use. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. Seek medical attention. Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes taking care to wash under the eyelids. Immediate medical attention required. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs naturally, have casualty lean forward to reduce the risk of aspiration. Seek medical attention immediately. Notes to physician: Aspiration hazard.

5. Fire-fighting Measures
Suitable extinguishing media: carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: If water is used, restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in areas where slip hazard may exist. Hazardous combustion products: Carbon and nitrogen oxides.Hazards during fire-fighting: Standard procedure for chemical fires. The product is slippery when wet. Restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in areas where slip hazard may exist. Protective equipment for fire-fighting: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical-protective clothing.

6. Accidental Release Measures

Cleanup: Wear suitable protective equipment. Pick up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, earth etc.). Scoop into marked containers for disposal as chemical waste. Should not be released into the environment.

Safety Data Sheet
