Clayno Hunting Club


LAKE BUTLER, FLORIDA

BY-LAWS AND RULES This club will consist of not more than 60 paying members, divided into two groups with each group selecting a Director and Alternate. A Board of Directors consisting of three (3) qualified members from each group will oversee and manage all business involving the hunting club. Club rules and by-laws will be amended by a majority vote (greater than 50%) of the Board of Directors. All parties mentioned below will be under the rules and regulations of the Florida Wildlife Commission.

HUNTING DATES---------------

To coincide with regular State regulations for gun season, archery season and likewise muzzle-loading season. Dog training and hog hunting with dogs will be allowed year round during the off season except for spring gobbler season, archery season and muzzle-loading season. Dog training will also be allowed during the Dog Training Season established by the FWC regulations. After the first two weeks of General Gun Season, deer hunting with dogs will be

allowed on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday only with the exception of the holiday weeks and the last week of the season.

NEW MEMBERS----------------- All potential new members will be required to complete Added 6/2012 and sign a Membership Application before being voted in. New members will be voted in by two-thirds vote of his/her group if vacancy exists. New members will be assessed a $100.00 initiation fee above and beyond the current hunting dues. All new members will be on probation for two years while being evaluated.

DUES-------------------------------

All dues must be in by May 1 . If dues are not received by May 1 tst membership will be cancelled.

ASSESSMENTS-----------------

Assessments will be made on membership when needed for fence repairs and locks, etc.

KEYS-------------------------------

Each member will be issued a key and be responsible for it. Should it be proven copies were made with his knowledge, member must buy new keys and locks for the area.

AREA UPKEEP------------------

All necessary work will be divided and each Director will see that the portion assigned his group is accomplished.

WIVES OF MEMBERSHIP----

Full privileges with the exception of voting.

CHILDREN UNDER 18---------

Members may bring all children under 18 being responsible for their ability to hunt and visit courteously and carefully. Children who reach 18 on or before the first day of General Gun Season can become associate members at full price with full privileges except voting and may remain associate members until an opening exists from the allocated 60 membership. A list will be established of those reaching age 18 and when openings for full membership arise, the top name will be given priority within his/her group. Children that are 18 or older and are enrolled as a fulltime student (not to exceed 4 years) and/or enlisted

in the active military will be exempt from paying dues. Proof of fulltime enrollment or proof of enlistment in the active military will be required.

DROP OUTS---------------------- If a member wishes to drop out, his membership will be assigned from the associate list within his/her group or by voting in a new member within his/her group. NOTE: A MEMBERSHIP CAN NOT BE SOLD TO ANYONE. 3

Any member can be voted out by the majority vote of the Board of Directors.

DEER MEAT----------------------

Belongs to the lucky hunter except if being run by members of other groups dogs in which case one half will go to hunters having dogs in pack and they will divide among themselves. Deer killed in front of dog packs from neighboring leased hunting camps will be divided as long as they show us the same policy.

ILLEGAL GAME-----------------

If a member should kill any illegal game, the member will be subject to disciplinary action by the club. Fines

must be paid the same day that the incident occurs. The club member that received the fine will not be allowed to hunt until the fine is paid. Illegal game will consist of: A. Spike Bucks (No Exceptions) Spike Bucks killed with antlers 5 or greater a $100.00 fine will be imposed for each infraction. If antlers are 4 or less (1 variance from GFC rules) a $250.00 fine will be imposed for the first offense; $500.00 fine for second offense; dismissed from the club third offense. B. Does if taken during regular hunting season 4

Revised 6/2011 EXCEPTION: Does can be taken on doe days or with doe permits by still hunting only. Item B above will apply if does are taken while dog hunting. Club members children 15 years old or younger will be allowed to take does on doe days or with doe permits while hunting with deer dogs. Children must be under the supervision of an adult club member and the club member will be responsible for any illegal game taken. C. DOE PERMITS-------------------

Doe permits will be issued to the club under the direction of the FWC. The permits will be issued to

members who request them for a donation fee of $25.00.

IDENTIFICATION CARDS----- Each member will carry an ID card signed by an officer of the club and will furnish ID on demand.

HUNTING GUESTS-------------

Each member will be allowed five (5) hunting guests 5

Guest pass fees and waivers must be paid and Added 6/2012 signed the same day the inviting member brings the guest. The inviting member will not be allowed to hunt until the guest pass fee is paid. Guests are not allowed to drive any vehicle. Inviting member must be the driver at all times. Revised 6/2009 Guest Pass Fees: $50.00 per day NOTE: If a member is proven to be mis-using guest passes, the member will be subject to disciplinary action and if continued mis-use occurs, guest pass privileges for all club members will be discontinued.

NON-HUNTING GUESTS-----

Same rules as above with the exception that nonhunting guests are exempt from paying guest fees and are allowed anytime during the year.

HONORARY MEMBERS------

Any paying member who reaches age 65 on or before the first day of General Gun season will be exempt from paying dues and will continue to have full 6

privileges including voting rights. NOTE: Existing members prior to year 2009 must be a paying member 10 years before qualifying for a honorary member. Revised 9/2008 New members beginning with year 2009 must be a paying member 20 years before qualifying for a honorary member.

WORK DAYS--------------------Added 9/2005

Any member who fails to participate in a scheduled work day will be assessed a $25.00 fee for each work day missed.

TREE STANDS-----------------Added 6/2010

All tree stands must be marked at road entrances to avoid conflict with other members. Use empty corn bag wrapped and tied around a tree to mark the entrance.

CLUB RAFFLE------------------- Each club member will be required to participate in the annual club raffle. The members raff le money will be considered as a non-refundable deposit to lock in your Added 6/2012 membership for the up-coming year. Failure to participate will be an indicator that the club member no longer desires to be a member of Clayno Hunting Club and will be replaced. 7
