NOX PC operation
The NOX PC software allows to control and operate the entire system directly with your PC. The software gives you all the functions that are already available on a control panel, but in an even more comfortable and fast way.

access to the software:

To get access to the software the same users and codes are valid as for the operation of the system via control panel. To log in, simply insert a valid user code in the log in window.

getting access and starting the software

security relevant data:

The software itself consists of a small executable windows program (approx. 300 kB). This program does not store any data on the PCs hard disk. Once the program is ended or a user is logged out, no security relevant data from the central remains on the hard disk. All data transfer between the central and the program is encrypted. The only wire needed is an Ethernet connection to the central (RJ-45 plug). The software can be installed on any network PC.

the main screen

Once successfully logged in, the main screen is displayed, and the actual system values are read from the central. On the left side of the windows, all areas of the system are listed with the current actual state. On the right side, on top, all active alarms are being displayed. These alarms can be acknowledged one by one by selecting them with the mouse, or all together. In the lower right part of this main screen, log messages are being displayed in dependence of the selected options.

The item detectors / areas is accessible in the menu bar of the main screen. Here you can change allocation of detectors to areas and modify the detector and area text as well.

To get access to this window double click on of the systems areas in the previous menu or mark the area and then click the info button on the bottom of the main window. This window shows all detector assignments to the single areas. It also shows eventually open/active detectors in the area. Additionally single detectors can be deactivated in this window. To do this select the detector to deactivate with the mouse and click an the deactivate button on the bottom left of the window.

user codes
A very comfortable possibility to create, modify and delete users and user codes is given with the NOX PC control software. To get access to this window, a higher access level than normal is required. If you have the required rights, this window will be accessible through the menu bar edit, then user codes directly from the main screen. See also next page!

All changes made on the user configuration will be effective on the systems central immediately.

Create a new user and define user name, code and access profile plus, if predefined, language for the user to operate the system on the control panels.

The validity of a user code can be limited in time to a specified period already in advance.
