SABC INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Want to gain workplace experience in the exciting world of Broadcasting? Then the SABC, Internship programme is for you.
This is an exciting opportunity for graduates that have a 3 or 4 year Degree/ diploma from accredited and recognised tertiary institutions in the following disciplines to participate in the SABC internship programme.

Minimum requirements for participation in internship 3/4 year Diploma /degree in Financial Management / Accounting 3 / 4 year diploma / degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics 3 / 4 year diploma / degree in Human Resources Development / Management / Education and Training 3/ 4 year diploma / degree in Auditing / Financial Management Degree in Law Diploma / Degree in Television and Media

National diploma / degree in Information technology Technical aptitude Relevant diploma/degree in S4 Electrical Engineering Light current Above average academic record Science; Math and English in matric Radio, Television, digital communications, Signal Processing and networking subjects will be an added advantage.

NQF level 5 diploma in Sound Engineering Maths and science as matric subjects Understanding of CS5 ADOBE Premium Production Suite and Autodesk 3D Max 2012 Knowledge of animation graphics in the field of production and/or New Media. Excellent end user computing skills Provide a show reel on DVD of their creative work. (prerequisite)

Minimum Requirements Matric certificate (Maths and Science for IT and Finance internships is a prerequisite) Successfully completed a 3 year degree / diploma in the discipline the application is being made Be computer literate with MS packages. MS project in certain disciplines will be an advantage. Be a South African citizen and under the age of 25. Have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) Be prepared to enter into a learning agreement for 10 months commencing on 1 March 2013 Aptitude tests and other criteria will be utilised to determine suitability and entry onto the programme. Please note permanent employment after completion of the programme is not guaranteed. D. Information in relation to internship


Majority of the internship placement is in Gauteng. Are you willing to relocate if you cannot be accommodated at provincial SABC offices to complete the relevant internship programme you are applying for? If you indicated yes above, do you have reasonable accommodation, to which you will have to source and fund yourself? The internship programme is of 10 months duration. There is no guarantee of permanent employment upon completion. Will you be able to sustain your livelihood with a stipend of R4000 per month to cover all costs including travel, accommodation where applicable, meals etc. Indicate in not more than 50 words as to why you want to participate in this programme.
