2011 I along with 20 classmates of BCI, paid a visit to the

APSCL (Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited). Mr. Monir led us there quite wisely and most carefully. APSCL is the biggest power station in Bangladesh. It is situated on the eastern back of Bhairab bridge & Shahid Abdul halim railway bridge on the mighty meghna. Earlier, our respected Principal Mr. sir of BCI sought permission of the managing director of APSCLP. Eng Mr.Nurul Alam and gladly recive us. Locally it was seen by the Head master of APSCL high school. On the scheduled day,we all reached to kamalpur railway station at 6 A.M to catch hold of the intercity train ( Upakul ) Final destination of this train is to be Noakali.Just after a little while the train was came in Station & start at 7 A.M. By this train journey we saw several natural scenario into the windows. We touched at the Ashuganj railway station at 9 A.M . At 9.30 A.M we reached APSCL , where my father received us . We took rest & get refresh for some while. At 10 AM we set food to the 1stgate of the power station complex. Observing the formulation we entered to the power station. Firstly the waters of the channels, their currants, their sounds, and speed spell us. We started our visit to the extreme north-east end of it next door to the 2 nd gate where water treatment plant of 450 mw p/s her gigantic installations stand. The rotor itself consists of a band of insulated bulky coils arranged and set in slots of the rotor. This electricity thus generated is now passed through step up V/T and then current (c/t) Trans former (to make high voltages and low current electricity) to Trans unit to far- off places by lines and transformers to avoid line loss, air field loss etc. This is conversely stepped down to the users at there doors by step-down transformers and the current transmission is carried out thus.
