UNIT 3. Understading ideas.

Say wheter the following statements are true or false.

Extending ideas.
In the story, Ariadne gave Theseus a ball of wool to enable him to find his way out of the labyrinth. Consider the following. 1. You are going into a thick jungle to explore what lies deep inside it. How would you ensure that you can find your way out? 2. How do sailors find their direction in an open sea after dark? 3. How do dogs find their way back no matter how far they wander off? Discuss among your selves and present your ideas to the class.

Grammar Practice.
Look at the following sentences. He is very strong. He can lift the rock. These two sentences can be joined as. He is strong enough to lift the rock. Think and Write.


Legends are very old stories about ancient heroes and kings. Did you like the legend about Theseus and the Minotaur? Write about any other legend you may know. Give details of where the story happened, what happened, and how it all ended. Use interesting words and begin a new paragraph for each part of the story.
