I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Communication at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and an adjunct instructor in the College of Communication at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. My research centers on the complicated mediated relationships between the divided Koreas and the United States, and my work as appeared in Media Asia; Korea 2013: Politics, Economy, & Society; The Korean Wave: Korean Popular Culture in Global Context; and The Global Impact of South Korean Popular Culture: Hallyu Unbound.
