Your House of Education

Learning is one of the gifts of life that God has given us, not only to you because you are young and have much to learn, but also to your parents, grandparents, and other adults who continue to learn too, gaining knowledge and new skills that help them in their daily lives and in their work.
Im studying so that I can teach a class on the Gospels. Im studying Mandarin! Im trying a new recipe I found for moussaka!1

Moussaka is a Greek casserole often made with ground beef, eggplant, and potatoes.

When you are young, because you have so much to learn, you spend a lot of time studying. This is to help you gain a good working knowledge of language arts, Science writing, and arithmetic, as well as science, social studies, and other practical life skills and the arts.

As you know, houses arent built out of thin air.

I can make a house out of nothing!

So much for that phony house!

Poof!
The house! Its gone!

It takes a lot of patience and diligence to build a house. A brick house, for example, is built one brick at a time, adding the mortar2 between each brick, and doing this over and over again until all the walls of the house are completed.

Mortar is a mixture of sand, water, and cement or lime (made from limestone) that becomes hard like stone once it dries. Mortar is used in construction to join and hold bricks and stones together.
