NOTES 1. Body of the jacket is worked from side-to-side in one piece. Work begins at the right front, then proceeds across the back and to the left front. 2. Sleeves of the jacket are worked separately and joined to armholes while working the last row of each sleeve. Sleeves are worked vertically from sleeve seam to sleeve seam. 3. To achieve a smaller size or a size between those given, consider using a smaller hook. If you choose to use a smaller hook, be sure to check your gauge carefully to ensure the desired fit. BODY Right Front Beginning along right front edge, chain 33 (39, 45, 45). Place a second stitch marker in the beginning of Row 110 (126, 142, 158) (for beginning of body edging). Fasten off. Neck and Armhole Edging With WS of left front facing, join yarn with slip st in last sc of Row 108 (120, 140, 152). Round 1: Working in ends of rows, *ch 3, skip next 3 rows, (tr, ch 2, tr) in side of sc at end of next row, ch 3, slip st in corner edge of next row*; [ch 2, slip st in next row] 2 times; working along armhole edge, repeat from * to * 4 (2, 6, 4) times; [for sizes Large and 3X-Large only: **ch 2, dc in next row, ch 2, slip st in next row**]; for all sizes, repeat from * to * 0 (2, 0, 2) times; working along armhole edge of back, repeat * to * 4 (2, 6, 2) times; repeat from ** to ** 0 (1, 0, 1) time; repeat from * to * 0 (2, 0, 4) times; working along back neck, ***ch 3, skip next row, slip st in next row; repeat from *** across. Crochet Button (optional) Join yarn with slip st in smaller plastic ring, leaving a 12"/30.5 cm tail. Round 1: Work 12 sc tightly in ring; join with slip st in first sc. Round 2: Ch 1, hold smaller plastic ring inside larger plastic ring; working over larger plastic ring, 2 sc tightly in each sc of Round 1; join with slip st in first sc, turn.
