On Broadway, Allegra’s interactive theater work-
Fill your summer with fun at the Allegra Summer
Fun Theater camp. No experience necessary! Our
camp is ideal for beginners as well as actors who are
interested in expanding their performance skills.
Campers from ages 8 to 15 all enjoy our performing
arts Day Camp, while learning new skills to advance
their performance ability.
Allegra’s Summer Fun Theater camp focuses on
musical theater as it teaches campers fundamental
and advanced techniques in acting, performance
readiness, stage singing, backdrop design, produc-
tion and stage crew. Each day campers participate
in three workshops - acting, music and backdrop
production. Kids learn best by doing and they do it
all at Allegra’s Summer Fun Theater Camp.
All of our camp instructors are professionally
trained and experienced in theater and stage, creat-
ing a stimulating environment where campers can
discover and develop their creative side.
Their complete camp experience culminates in a
grand performance in front of parents and friends.
Just for Fun
We sneak in a fun day of talent shows, water balloons
and ice cream. Campers can even invite a friend!
Allegra is proud that our campers come back summer
after summer to grow and stretch in new theater
experiences. This is why we are able to achieve the
high level of performance and fun that you’ve been
hearing about.

Explore New Roles
My 15-year-old daughter absolutely loves the program. My daughter has
shop, trains campers in acting, voice, movement,
make-up and costumes. Campers learn acting by way
of entertaining games and exercises that strengthen
memory, acting and performance skills. They delve
into scene study, improvisation and physical comedy
routines, excitedly rehearsing for the theatrical pro-
gram they will perform at the end of the session. The
poise and confidence they gain from this workshop
will translate successfully to other endeavors!
Find Your Voice
Lift Every Voice Get Creative
: Campers experience the joy of singing
in our music workshop, lead by a professional musician and
voice coach. They learn the musical accompaniment to the
selected theatrical production by focusing on vocal breathing
techniques, posture, articulation and resonance.
And, in addition to the Broadway production, campers learn to
sing a wide variety of unrelated repertoire - just for the fun of
it!
GET CREATIVE
Stage Crew/ Set Design: Working with an
experienced artist, Allegra campers create sets using a
generalized art format, covering a wide range of media.
This is where the artist within each of them really shines.
The final result...Beautiful sets and props designed and
created by our Allegra campers.

been enrolled in the summer camp for the past three summers. I only wish
we had heard about the camp earlier! My daughter has always enjoyed
acting and performing and she participated in several other acting
programs, both year-long programs and summer camps, for seven years.
Allegra beats them all! It was amazing to seethe progress my daughter

They are able to work intensively and seriously with the children to

help the students improve and grow as actors. The students learn to speak
in front of an audience and to improvise, among other things. These are
great skills to master, not just in acting, but in life in general. The overall
educational benefit that my daughter gets from Allegra continues to be
tremendous

My son John (age 13) has been attending both summer camp and Ultimate
Thespians acting troupe since he was 7. He loves Allegra and looks forward
to every session. Besides the fact that good kids attend Allegra programs,
John has developed poise and confidence by practicing and performing
on stage with Allegra. Ms. Donnetta is very experienced in her craft and
makes learning fun. The kids work hard (and play hard) and produce
amazing plays in as little as two weeks.
We live about 45 minutes away from Allegra (Hillsborough is nearby where
I work, and I had taken John there one summer when our nanny was sick)
and even though it is quite a commitment to get him there, there is no
hesitation from either of us - he loves it that much.
