Wikislam and The Allegation of wine

has a clear ruling about drinking wine . The almighty Allah says in the holy book Quran O ye who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and
Islam divining arrows are only an infamy of Satan's handiwork. Leave it aside in order that ye may succeed. Satan seeks only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance, and to turn you from remembrance of Allah and from (His) worship. Will ye then have done? 1 Even though , Wikislam has alleged that the prophet Mohammed ( P B U H) Drank and performed ablution with wine 2. I shall discuss in details the evidences that wikislam relied on in that allegation and let the reader make his ruling about it . Wikislam relied on some prophetic hadiths that talk about Nabeez which the prophet Mohammed likes to drink before it turns into a strong drink. These hadiths do not talk about wine which is entirely prohibited in Islam. We still call wikislam staff kindly not to mix between nabeez and wine . Nabeez is a liquid consist of some dates or raisins or malt soaked in water for a while so it sweeten the test of water and enrich it with several nutrition elements 3 but it does not intoxicate people .You can make it from dates, raisins or malt and it is lawful to drink it as long as it does not turn into strong drink. Turning Nabeez into strong drink depends on several elements related to weather, the place where it is kept in and time. Whilst , wine which is called Kamar in Arabic is entirely different. It is prohibited in Islam to drink Kamar as it ruins human body and mind. Another mistake that Wikislam has made is relying on some Arabic dictionaries to mix between nabeez and Kamer and make them one thing which means in English " wine" to prove that the prophet ( PB UH) Drank wine. The mistake that wikislam has fallen into is that raisins do not turn into wine if it have been soaked in water4. We will get something closer to grape juice rather than wine. Turning grape juice or raisins into wine take a lot of effort and processes5 .Wikislam admits in the same article that in " Lesan-Al-Arab" dictionary it is said that: Entabaztuhu (the past tense from entabaza) taken

as nabeezen whether it is intoxicant or not, it is called nabeezen So the word Nabeez is used for both forms of soaked grapes, dates or malt whether it is intoxicant or not. So why Wikislam confined it to the former meaning( where wine equels Nabeez ) and exclude the later one which represnts what the prophet and the people at his time like to drink. The prophet Mohamed drank Nabeez before it turns into a strong drink and when it gets so he spill away. There is no mention at all in the authentic hadiths that prophet Mohammed ( BPUH) Drank Kamer which is called wine in English language. It is not fair to twist the facts and consider soaked raisins in water wine to prove something that never happened before. Furthermore, it is illogical that Islam prohibits wine and the prophet Mohammed(BPUH) drinks it .It would be a point of criticism that his companions will stop him on it but we did not see any of them criticized the prophet for that. If the prophet were drinking wine or nabeez which turned into strong drink why hadiths regarding that point mentioned that he spill the remaining nabeez after three days . I would give the reader a live evidence to prove that the prophet "Mohammed" ( PBUH) did not drink wine: soak some raisins in water and leave them for a while . Drink from the mixture you have made within three days. Does it turn into wine?!!
