Compare and contrast cultural diffusion (sharing of ideas and goods) of ancient and modern China.

1.) Inquiry

(3-5+ sentences Stretch your thinking; Be specific; Draw connections from past history and current events)
While gazing through cultural diffusion of ancient and modern China, it is likely to find where the Silk Road leads to and from. Plus, it is plausible to discover who, where, and how the Chinese traded silk. Also, finding what the Chinese are creating today wont be difficult at all. Added on top, the outcome of the Chinese and Europeans releasing new methods of doing things will be like writing on paper. Undoubtedly, discovering all of these will be a piece of cake.

1.) Why was the Silk Road closed and not used as much? 2.) How does the U.S. government keep track of all the imports and exports to and from China? 3.) Why is everything made in China nowadays? 4.) Even though the website about trading with China explains the 2011 things, what did we export, import, and invest in 2012 and 2013?

5.) Analysis (5-8 sentences Follow PEEER Overview model) Write a PEEER paragraph that answers the Inquiry Question
Compare and contrast cultural diffusion (sharing of ideas and goods) of ancient and modern China.

For your Evidence statement use one of your Direct Quotes Color-code your paragraph -Cultural diffusion on ancient and modern China is different because now China does not export the same materials they used to export. Also, the Silk Road is not used to disperse silk right now, instead the Chinese distribute machinery, food, vehicles, and aircraft. For instance, the Silk Road was used mainly for silk to be transferred to Europe, but now the Chinese use gigantic freighters to ship the materials over to the United States, and other countries.

Robert Buchanan 3-20-13 6/7 Furthermore, China does not share the same ideas, which were distributed in the Silk Road time. Even though cultural diffusion on ancient and modern China can be the same, clearly there are more contrasts than comparisons.
