Role: Volunteer to assist a new mother - Crosscare What's Involved? Assist a new mother in her home with basic housekeeping. Experience with new born babies and/or vulnerable people is desirable. Where: Dublin 7 When: 2 hours per week for about 8 weeks Role: Product Designer - Progressio Ireland What's Involved? Progressio Ireland is an Irish international development organisation that works to empower poor and marginalised people through its work on sustainable environment and governance/participation. As part of our water campaign we have currently developed a re-usable water bottle with a mission (the 'Liquapod') that we are bringing into the Irish market for three reasons Volunteer needed to - designing packaging and marketing materials for our charity water bottle Where: Dublin 4 or at home When: 4-6 weeks (between April 15th and the end of May), flexible working hours Role: Bag-packing for IINM Suicide Prevention - IINM (CMS) Suicide Prevention Centre What's Involved? Volunteers needed for a Fundraising Bag-Pack in Dunnes Stores, Henry Street on Friday and Saturday 5th ,6th April. ** Funds raised will support the work of IINM CMS Suicide Prevention Centre. We work with individuals with suicide-prevention, self-harm, violence, addiction, mental health issues, domestic violence and autism in children. Where: Dunnes Stores, Henry Street When: 2 hours on the 5th or 6th of April Role: Voluntary Driver - WALK What's Involved? Collect 4 people with an intellectual disabiity from their homes in Drimnagh/Crumlin in Walk's Minibus. Where: Walkinstown, Dublin 12 When: 4 hours per week and minimum of two year commitment post training. Role: Carers Week Project Assistant - Care Alliance Ireland What's Involved: We are seeking a volunteer to assist us with preparation for National Carers Week 2013 which will take place between June 10th and 16th 2013. There is a variety of tasks to be undertaken including: Event Management Support, Office Administration, Support with PR, and more Where: Dublin 7 - The Carmichael Centre, Coleraine Street When: 10-15 hours per week over a 6-8 week period, starting in May. Role: Volunteer Facilitators - Crosscare Carer Support Programme, Crosscare What's Involved: Facilitating support groups for family carers in Dublin North and West. We will offer a 6 week training course to help you build on and learn skills to support you in this role. Where: Initial training course at Clonliffe College, Dublin 3 When: One morning each month for a year Role: Four Peaks Challenge 2013 Event Volunteers - Focus Ireland What's Involved: Volunteers are needed in Co Wicklow on Sunday 9th June 2013 to help us run the final climb of the Four Peaks Challenge. Teams needs to be registered, checked that they have the correct walking equipment, given meal vouchers and have their time sheets marked. A full briefing will be given to volunteers before the event and volunteers will work along side Focus Ireland staff. All volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt and meals for the day. Where: Glen of Imaal, Co Wicklow When: All day on Sunday 9th June 2013
