Week 3: Temporality in Gender Studies (Clare Hemmings) This session explores the issue of chronology in gender studies, highlighting

both the emergence of the field in different contexts, and the problems associated with how we tell that history, particularly the relationship between time and space or place. These issues are discussed with reference to debates about the proper name of the field (gender, womens, feminist studies?), debates about postfeminism and to the relationship between temporality and geography.
