Samson is a Nazarite to God. The Philistines are afraid of his great strength.

Delilah
tricks him to reveal the source of his power. Samson's hair is cut off, and he is captured
and put in prison. God gives him his strength one more time and he pushes 2 pillars
down on himself and many Philistines.

Throughout the period of the Nazarites separation he is consecrated to the LORD

who was sterile and remained childless.
