hello Pakhi, a a couple weeks ago I turned 10. and I feel a whole lot different.

a couple weeks before my birthday I started reading a book called where the red fern grows. Its such a wonderful book! i think you should read it. Its very sad though. but once you start reading it you cany stop! I have many jobs around the house. I have to feed my dog, feed my cat, give them both water. I have to check the mail and i have to take the trash out. Tommorow im going to San Fransico with my grandfather. I cant wait to tell you about all the amazing things there like the worlds bumpiest street and the golden gate bridge and the bay. The only thing bad about going is waking up at 3:00 in the morning to catch our flight. I have four people in my family, my dad, my mom, and my brother. My babysitter lives with me though so I guess we can call her family:] Do you have any brothers or sisters? if so how many? In scool we have been learning a lot on multiplying big numbers. I love doing it but sometimes it can be a challage.

I am sending you a paper on Halloween. I hope you like it! your friend, Walker

Halloween is derived from the term All Hallows Eve on October 31st. All saints day or all hallows day was the next st day, November 1 . Halloween is the eve of all saints day. Halloween comes from an old Celtic celebration called all

hallows eve. During the festival, they would bless and convert pagans called Halloween, because hallow means saints and een means evening. We dress up honering the Celtics who would wear masks to scare evil spirits away. Preventing demons from identifying them as humans. Celts lived more than 2,000 years ago in what is now England, Ireland, Wales, and Northern France. Celtics ordered druid [ priests ] used to honer Samhin, the lord of the dead evening October 31 st day November 1st. Halloween celebrated annually on October

31 is an American holiday that has roots in Northern European harvest festivals. Halloween celebrations usually include ghosts, ghouls, and all manner of the living dead. Dia De Los muertuertos is Spanish for the day of the dead a Mexican holiday thats falls at the same time of year. Though the holidays seem superfictually similar theres a few key differences. Today we dress up in costumes and go to house to house and they give us candy. We call this trick-or treating. Trick-or-treating comes from Irish farmers who would go from house to house begging

for food. Many kids think Halloween is just about dressing up and getting candy. I used to think that too! But until now I never really thought of the term where did Halloween come from.
