Above is a rough draft of my timeline that will take place during my 2 week take over. I am collaborating with my teacher as to when would be an opportune time to allow the students to do some research on the laptops. As Lea Elementary is currently under a microscope from the district (in light of a myriad of school closings), my classroom in particular, students have several computerized programs (first in math, achieve 3000) to complete and that are also being heavily scrutinized. I was hoping during the 215-255 block of Week 2, my students would be allowed the opportunity to research an influential person from the Harlem renaissance and create an exhibit, displaying background information on the artists, musicians, or poets life and creating a visually interesting backdrop for the exhibit that captures the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance.
