When did Yahshua die? Ex. 12: 6. I. This verse unlocks the mystery of the timing of Yahshuas death.

Timing is KEY! Without it, the prophetical events foreshadowed in the rehearsals become contradictory and are of little value in proving He was in fact, Messiah. We can see this in vain attempt to suggest He died on Friday and arose on Sunday. The math never works! So what does this verse in Exodus tell us? And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. Lets examine a few words in Hebrew: And ye shall keep #4931, mishmereth, it does mean to keep or observe, yet the heart of the word indicates a place where guards are set in order to protect & secure something or someone. The root is shomer and is first seen in Gen. 2: 15 where Adam is told to keep Shamar, the Garden of Eden, #5731, ` Eden. How many of you know what happened because Adam failed? Our responsibility to keep the Festivals is impinged upon this precedent! Eden is normally translated, delight. However, the Ayin-Dalet root, Ed, infers witness or testimony (Rev. 12:11 they overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony?) with the Nun appended it infers to diminish what it is attached to. Ayin-Dalet-Nun can also mean a fixed period of time. Thus, because Adam diminished didnt SHOMER - the Garden of Appointed Times the Fall results. In the evening, #996, beyn, and #6153, ` ereb, it is in plural form here: between the evenings: This is a subject of much controversy and has been for centuries. Lets sift through the rubble of contention and see if we can find the truth. Matt. 27: 45 50 gives us the time frame: We see two references; the 6th and 9th hour. Hebraic reckoning divided the daylight hours this way: 6am began the day, thus the 3rd hour would be 9am the 6th hour 12oclock and the 9th hour three pm. It becomes clear that Yahshua dies at the 9th hour and there is no dispute here. If He is to fulfill this role as Passover Lamb He must then fit the pattern. "The Pharisees . . . and the Rabbinists considered the time when the sun began to descend to be called the FIRST EVENING (Arabic 'little evening'; when it begins to

draw towards evening); and the SECOND EVENING to be the REAL SUNSET" (p. 652, #6153). Gesenius Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon. "So these high priests, upon the coming of their feast which is called the Passover, when they slay their sacrifices, from the ninth hour to the eleventh, but so that a company not less than ten belong to every sacrifice . . . and many of us are twenty in a company, found this number of sacrifices was two hundred and fifty six thousand five hundred which, upon the allowance of no more than ten that feast together, amounts to two million seven hundred thousand and two hundred persons that were pure and holy" (Wars of the Jews, Book VI, 9:3). Josephus The Gospel accounts tell us He is immediately taken down and the Body procured by Joseph of Arimathae, wrapped in linen and laid in a tomb that is visited by Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses. Mk. 15. This is because of the High Sabbath of Unleavened Bread which begins at Sunset. This would have been at the close of a Wednesday evening making sunset the beginning of Thursday a High Sabbath until sunset the following evening. NO WORK. The High Priests and Pharisees knew the Festival pattern and they understood resurrection! *Note Matt. 27: 64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. They had heard the Sign of Jonah, 3 days, 3 nights = 72 hours. They also knew of the Festival of Yom HaBikkurim Early First Fruits, which would culminate as a type of the Resurrection 3 days later! This is what is foreshadowed in this beginning of the Counting of the Omer 50 days a Jubilee season later the Spring Harvest is complete. *Matt. 28:1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
