Some of them possess human strength, the willingness to risk their own safety rather than others and acquire his or her abilities as well as the motivation for becoming a hero. Some may rely upon special weapons. These are and can be the essential elements of a heros basic character. I believe you can be like a hero in your own special ways. You can use your knowledge as your special weapon when you are about to step out in this institution and step into the doors of the real world. May you have the willingness to take risk of the responsibilities that awaits you- heroes have those abilities- taking the risk for everyones safety. Congratulations! As the gates of our school open, and as you step out of the gates, remember that you have the power to change the future. And as we always know, with greater power comes greater responsibilities. Now that you will be venturing out to the real world, keep in mind that you have the power to save - that you are in your own right a hero of todays generation. Remember that you would always have knowledge as your power and integrity as your shield. Your ambitions will serve as your cape to propel you and help you fly and the people you met and will meet along your way in your long journey will serve as your inspiration. Figuratively speaking, never forget that in you lies the future of a lot of people and that the world will be counting on you. For you are their hero and that you will serve as the model for the heroes of the next generations. You might wonder why in you lies a great responsibility, the reason behind it is that YOU have completed such bumpy journey or more likely to be called as a battle and with that, you have brought with you a bigger task, whatever field you had chose lies a variety of works in which only you are capable of only you can outshine. It must be of great joy and pleasure in your individual minds and feelings that you won the ultimate championships you greatly deserve from the very challenging war that you have just went through. With your extraordinary supremacy which is composed of your strength, dedications, potential and knowledge that stand as your armors or weapon and strong reluctance to be able for you to facade the vicinity of battleships. As you take to the air and fly with your own futures you would face two moments - either you might fall down or you could reach the top of succession. In four years of assaulting challenges and furnishing skills and ability, Im expecting that you will surpass and always claim victory from the different clashes. Graduation serves as threshold into success. Whenever you fall dont disregard to go up. Remember: If just if you started badly, in which, you might fall down, do NOT give instantly. You can have that clear view of your success in the future. You can feel all your hard work and dedications to your studies, this is your reward. The world contains a lot of possibilities for you to choose. To choose and take the best path may be a hard one; you may have a lot of options. To what Gloria Steinem said, Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Your eagerness to succeed had a lot to do with your outcome. Graduating doesnt end your journey; it just serves as your key to enter a world with lots of possibilities in life. You have the wheel in your life and you have the full hold of your own success. Just like the heroes, we see them as a part of our imagination. Saving lives and being famous is not the only essence of being a hero. By simply helping others, especially your parents and relatives who had spent a lot of time on working to give you a full support on your financial needs, appreciates your efforts in doing your requirements and attending to school and who had never left you no matter what. Congratulations Mighty Heroes! It is indeed good to see you walk on stage on your graduation day; to see you grab your diplomas and conquer each of your dreams with assurance of a bright future. Remember, after graduation, you are making a big leap towards the fulfillment of your lifelong vision and you should anticipate anything that may come your way. Looking inside us, we can see that there is always a mighty hero. The hero that makes you motivated to dream, gives you a reason to focus and gives you strength to do things beyond other peoples imagination. As a song goes, ...so when you feel like hope is gone, look inside you and be strong, and youll finally see the truth, that a hero lies in you. To those who heard this song and contemplated the meaning of it, heroes are not born but are made to be worthy for that title. Theres a hero in every individual and it is to be unveiled in the right time. As you go through the actual setting of performing your chosen careers, never forget to trust yourself more than enough to do your best. The real world maybe a tough one but nothing is impossible for someone who aims for the finest. Being a nurse is not an easy work. Nurses are expected to be flexible in all areas of the hospital and community. Aside from that, a nurse should acquire a good critical thinking skills, job knowledge, leadership, communication skills, and should have the initiative, compassion and so on. But through hard work, its not that hard anymore to attain all these. Filipino nurses are heroes because when it comes to patient care, we really serve through the heart. You should pursue your goals together with serving the people who are in need of nurses care. Bring up the hero within you! Good luck!

Its like fighting in an immense combat that really requires your courage, strength, and spirit to win. You face the thousand soldiers of trial, a million bullets of challenge, and a bomb of problems. Sometimes you lose hope but, you find ways and inspiration to pursue to fight. You are truly a hero in the eyes of your parents because you find the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles and you didnt let them down. It is my honor and a distinct privilege to see your reaping success as you receive your diplomas. My warmest congratulations to the Batch 2012-2013! When we hear the word hero, what comes to our mind is that they are the ones who died for the country, or became well-known for saving the country or starting a revolution. Superheroes are usually those whom can fly, turn to flames, stretch or become invisible bit those are just imaginations that existed in comic strips and/or movies. You dont need to possess those supernatural powers just to be called as heroes. Despite having no actual super-powers, you can be a hero in our own ways. By doing the right thing and loving what you do with the extent of not stepping others life that is a key. I strongly believe that as you take a step forward with your career path, you are equipped with the acquired learning and wisdom that this institution has offered. Congratulations Aspiring Graduates! As you embark another part of your life through moving in your career zone, I am hoping the best out of it. In choosing career options, I know that we often have difficulties concerning the aspects we are going to choose. You may have difficulty during your adjustment phase as you go through the limelight of the real world. Batch 2013, Today, I am indeed happy now that you are to reach an end on one of your goals and ambitions. Even though you have finished your degree, bear in mind that after this collegiate voyage, you will still continue your schooling to gain more knowledge and wisdom. You will fight another battle of lifea battle moved to the next leveljust like books, after a chapter opens a new one. It would become more challenging, there would be more problems, more trials yet most of all, everything would become more exciting. The next level that you are about to enter isnt like school time anymore, this time, you would be facing people who are professional in their fields just like you, but be confident, I am, I know you are capable, for you are a hero and all heroes have their own capabilities and skills that are far more powerful than ordinary people. What does it takes to be classified as heroes? Does it have to have superpowers like super strength? Or incredibly high-tech gadgets? Or do you have to die for the country? Do you have to risk your life, give away your possessions? What does it take? A Hero, as described by our dear friend dictionary.com, is a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired by his brave deeds and noble qualities. Keeping this article short as possible, anyone can be a hero by doing the right thing for the benefit of many rather than one. This years graduating batch 2013 is the new set of heroes! As we had excelled more than what was expected, we had achieved more than what was projected. For the whole year, the batch 2013 had achieved more than what had been expected. In terms of competition, this batch doesnt slack off. With pride, Mr. Robert Michael Buchholz Jr. and Ms. Fitz Sheena Ann Aranas together with a junior brought home the gold medals during the Chefs War (Student Division) twice this year during the Kumbira in Cagayan De Oro City and the National competition held in World Trade Center, Metro Manila. In terms of academic performance, this batch shows how competent we are. In fact, our batch has many scholars, from the College of Nursing, we have Ms. Shielden Vi Gallemit. Mr. Jason Sarabia from the College of Computer Studies. We also have Ms. Jessa Tulang from the School of Business. And for the School of HRIM, we have Mr. Robert Michael Buchholz Jr. and yours truly, Ms. Krizaine Cordero. This batch is not just academically competent but also has something to boast in terms of beauty. In fact, this years MS. DMC 2012 is Ms. Vanessa Fe Anadio. Fair and square she won the title of being DMCs quintessential women. The Batch 2013 comprises of students with a lot of outlook in life. This is seen in the students attitude during school activities. We are active in participating and putting a lot of effort for our respective teams and courses. These labors, of course is an evidence that we are not only useful and productive in the academic field but in actions during activities as well. We have a good sense of sportsmanship and we foster teamwork for the lower year to look up to as an example. To state evidence, our batch is also the set of molded leaders of the institution from department organizations to intercollegiate we almost dominated it all. And if we may add, we are not just men of academic excellence but of fun as well. It is easy to see that our batch is the wildest, and the most fun-loving bunch this institution has ever seen. Well, we could say that we made the noise in the campus. From the competitive nursing students, to the creative information technologists, to the high-spirited radiologist and medical technologists, to the supportive and always-on-the-go criminology students, to the enthusiastic hoteliers, to the persistent business and accounting students, and from other departments, this batch may not be a perfect batch, as we are just humans. But were that brave enough to face the challenges of the real world and that makes us distinct on other batches that have passed the DMCs training grounds. Were the individuals who would keep our feet to the ground and always take a leap forward even though hardships and trials come every day in our lives. We are the newest addition the set of iconic heroes this world had ever known and in the near future, we shall unravel ourselves to be one of the greatest. Tumbling to the ground never stops us in aiming in our dreams and aspirations because being successful is who we are and we are born to succeed.

Though generations change from time to time, and even if time itself also changes, a thing will always be kept in constant and that is the happy thoughts and the great things to be remembered as you spare your precious and over-refined time worthwhile. You usually have an interaction with these people in the campus- a group of elite writers who are the exceptional yearbook makers. Who would have thought that these students in their different respective department uniforms are being fused delightfully together? For a common goal and purpose? You might wonder how they made it though. But one thing is for sure, aside from dedication and being passionate, versatility is the best personality that each EXIMIUS staff possesses. They can move between tasks! Let me take this distinct privilege to introduce the different and E- extraordinary , X enodochy , I intellectual , U - upright , S students. So, here it goes. This is the Eximius Family tree. Time itself had been their biggest enemy. Alongside, managing it seemed harder to do than said with various reasons to forget yearbook responsibilities how could this team come up with the momentum on time. Was it power? Nah! That never existed. You might wonder what importance is the staff to you? Maybe not much but without them, this yearbook would not be of success. Cutting the story short, let me share to you the adventure I had when I got the chance to interact with the modern day catalysts the EXIMIUS STAFF. Heres my story: It was at the middle of the semester when I heard that the Eximius Staff will be having their monthly meeting for the yearbook concerns at their office. I got curious, so I went there. It was beside the I.T Center. I sneaked a peak and saw them gathered so I went inside and earsdropped. There I saw standing near their white board is the Eximius Editor-in-chief. She plays an important role in sorting out articles and other matters in yearbook making. Also motivates and develops the staff. She is no other than KRIZAINE CORDERO or ate zaine as often address to her. She is a smart young woman with a genuine heart that elicits idyllic work principles. The person I know has a bottomless of patience when we pass our articles beyond the deadline. And what makes her that special to everyone? It is her eagerness to move ahead in life is truly worth keeping! The voice within her heart is express in her blog. To sum it up, Ate zaine is a dream of every man to have.

Beside her is the Associate Editor-in-chief Marie Gras Rodas. Gra is the typical talented girl in the group the dancer/singer. A girl with a passion for music and has the soul for dancing, has a not-so-ordinary sense of humor and the guts to face everything. Gra is the epitome of a strong woman thats why she is perfect for her position she supports the EIC and acts as one of the pillars when everything tends to fall apart. They were whispering something though Im not sure what it was but I think its all about the agendas for their meeting. And here enters the door the always with a smile lad, Kuya Clint. Clint Hechanova is the Managing Editor of the team. Hmmm.speaking of which, I havent saw him lately, oh, right! He is on his practicum this sem. Well, he started blabbering now his making the noise in the office. Wait a minute, I wonder where the feature Editor is. Hmm.. I glazed around the room and saw someone in a corner, oh! Its April Carmel Dumaog. The girl with the fire and sass, she just knows everything about everyone in the show business and has a great eye in judging guys, when she says that a guy is hot it really is oozing with appeal. As she sashays towards everyone she has already the latest gossip that she wants to share to the gang. And then theres also the helping hands of the editors. First off is the beauty with curls. Frietchie Mae Ocupe, she is the voice of her friends who are also part of the Eximius family Richelle Erosido and Donessa Aleta. Donessa is the introvert and shy counterpart of Fritchies personality and Richelle is a mixture of both. You can always see them together thats why they earned their nickname tres Marias. They are now handing to the editors their articles and assigned tasks because its already past the deadline. Walking behind them are Juvy Angel Inanod and Angel May Magaway, they are arguing about something and starts to show off who is better and then laugh at their silliness. They are both resident writers of the yearbook and always have the opposite opinions about everything. Juvy is the girl who is considered as the Man of steel of the family and Angel is the quirky and pesky girl and has vowed to annoy Clint every time they meet. When they noticed that everybody was staring at them they quickly took their places and sat. Now they are just waiting for the layout artists, the creative minds of the group and the thorns among the roses. I see them walk down the halls while discussing colors, photoshop and designs. NoliBagarinao greeted everyone at the table and invited everyone to watch their dance performance. Then next to him sat Uelmar Ortega and Nehemaiah Ferandos they are the new recruits of the group and seems a little shy but I noticed as I watched them talked animatedly that in just a short period of time, everyone will become comfortable. As Zaine opened her notebook and got the attention of everyone, I slowly walked away and a thought came to me, I could always use another family, by the next Eximius meeting Id probably be part of them.

Life is not a matter of destiny; it is a matter of choice. It is whether you chose to stand what is right or rather go wrong. Everybody can be a hero it is by choice.
Its amazing on how time flies by so fast. I could still remember four years ago when I first came to DMC, everyone was a total stranger for me. And now, my time has finally come I am to leave the institution I am to graduate. And I guess you all feel the same way as I do full of mixed emotions. But what can I say, it is one of our most awaited moments in life the opportunity has come for us to receive the fruit of our four-year academic strugglethe diploma. This year brought a lot of changes. It was hard at first especially when we had to cope with it but eventually we managed. One of the hardest things for us to do in the whole process of yearbook making is to come up with a theme that would suit for this year. We did. Or rather should I say we thought we did. Id admit the theme was superhero where one should unleash the superhero within. The concept was ready, things had been set and we were just waiting for the pictorial. But then, time came and all the things we had planned must be vanished or rather renovated. It was upsetting since it connoted for us to start from scratch eventhough we had done 60% already. Oh well, that is part of life. So we gathered all the ideas we could think of and came up with an idea that is a bit similar to our first theme, so this years theme is all about being a HERO the heroes of today! Life is not a matter of destiny; it is a matter of choice. It is whether you chose to stand what is right or rather go wrong. Everybody can be a hero it is by choice. Dr. Jose Rizal never became a hero because it was his destiny; he became one because he fought for it with his life; he fought for the freedom of Philippines; he chose to do what is right not for his benefit but for others. To be a hero does not necessarily mean one should give off his/her life. It can be just through profession. For instance, a nurse can be a hero through helping out those who are sick; a criminology graduate by imprisoning the criminals and a lot more. It is by thinking the benefits of many rather than one. Being a hero starts within oneself; within ones decision. It is not destiny; it has never been destiny. As the year ends, it signifies a new batch of heroes is set to journey the real world. Brace yourselves for you belong to that new batch. Bear in mind that the real world can sometimes be drastic, tough, and/ or sometimes it can be enjoying. Believe me, I had been there; I had experienced it. Good luck on unleashing the hero within you my co-graduates! BE the HERO of today! Believe in yourself! Congratulations!
